The first end of the hollow body includes an aperture which has been adapted for receiving the tip of the fishing rod, and the second end of the hollow body includes an aperture which has been adapted for receiving the chemical illumination device. A line guide loop is attached near the second end of the hollow body, so that the tip of the fishing rod may serve as a line guide while holding the chemical illumination device.
