초록

A cobalt on transition alumina catalyst, containing between 3 and 40% by weight of cobalt has a cobalt surface area above 30 m.sup.2 /.sub.g of cobalt, preferably above 50 m.sup.2 /.sub.g of cobalt, most preferably above 80 m.sup.2 /.sub.g of cobalt.
