The tool has an engaging end which both engages a fixture to support the tool in a working position, and engages an intravenous container to support it in the working position. The tool has a handle and a shaft extending between the engaging end and the handle. The shaft is long enough to reach support fixtures and shaped to hang without contacting the intravenous container. The handle is shaped to accommodate a user's hand.
