A pass-by insulating glass window unit for replacing single glazing including a sealing assembly sandwiched by glazings having dissimilar plane surface dimensions. One glazing, the exterior glazing, has the plane dimensions of the single glazing it replaces. The other, the interior glazing, and the sealing assembly have plane dimensions slightly smaller than the dimensions of the window opening.
