A baby carriage construction. The carriage, or stroller, includes a frame which receives within a perimeter defined by the frame an occupant compartment. The occupant compartment has opposite sides, and, spaced along a fore-and-aft axis of the compartment, first and second ends. The first end is positioned forwardly with respect to an intended direction of movement of the stroller, and the second end is positioned rearwardly with respect to that direction.
