A heat pump housing made from plastic is disclosed herein. The housing is preferably two-piece including a wall plate and a shell. The wall plate may be secured to conventional wall studs and provides outside air intake and exhaust openings. The wall plate additionally provides supports for the temporary support of the shell while the shell is being secured to the wall plate.
