The retention mechanism of the present invention includes a plurality of fins disposed on the retainer and a plurality recesses and extension disposed on the axle. The radial extensions engage the fins such that the retainer is prevented from rotational movement relative to the axle such that frictional wear between the axle and retainer is substantially reduced while also substantially distributing stresses realized within the retainer.
