A pilot assembly for producing a pilot flame including a pilot which includes a housing and a multiple orifice member mounted to the housing. The housing includes a gas flow passageway providing gas fuel from a gas source to the pilot flame. The orifice member positions one orifice in the passageway for metering the rate of gas flowing through the passageway, and hence combusted by the pilot, according to the type of gas.
