A urinary collection device for human females has a collecting basin with an oval inlet and a skirt around the outside of the oval inlet. A projection is provided from a short side of the oval inlet for insertion into the entrance to the vaginal opening to position the inlet about the urethral opening. A back of the collecting basin has a portion for receiving pressure to urge the inlet into a liquid tight seal against the user.
