A desk chairmat comprising a semi-rigid substantially planar member, said member having four side edges with a lip portion extending from a first of said four side edges, said lip portion having a generally rectangular shape and adapted to extend into a well area under a desk; an upper side of the chairmat having a substantially smooth surface and a lower side of the chairmat having a plurality of spikes projecting therefrom; and a pair of handles, located along respective opposite second and third of said four side edges permitting said substantially planar member to be partially folded and grasped by said pair of handles, with said spikes facing inwardly; and wherein said pair of handles each comprises a panel cut along three panel sides within the periphery of the chairmat, said panel foldable about a fourth panel side to enable said panel to be folded in and out of the plane of the chairmat.
