A multi-functional lightweight carrying device features one or more storable serving trays and beverage holders, an adjustable handle convertible to a shoulder strap, and a specialized pocket holder for a cellular phone. The device is further capable of being secured to the seat of a vehicle via a seat-belt holder.

[ What is claimed is:] [1.]1. A portable carrying device comprising:a flexible storage portion having a moveable access opening cover, the storage portion having an inner surface and an outer surface, an insulating material being disposed between the inner surface and the outer surface substantially throughout the storage portion;at least one tray movably connected to and covering a portion of the outer surface of the storage portion, the at least one tray being moveable between a closed position adjacent the outer surface and an open position extending from the outer surface, wherein moving the tray from the closed position to the open position exposes the portion of the outer surface covered by the tray in the closed position; andat least one beverage holder movably connected to the outer surface of the storage portion, the at least one beverage holder being moveable between a closed position adjacent the outer surface and an open position extending from the outer surface, wherein when the at least one beverage holder is in the open position, a predetermined beverage container can be supported adjacent the outer surface by the at least one beverage holder.
