The production system of claim 14, wherein said transfer device comprises engaging means for said hood for driving said hood between said stack positions. 16. The production system of claim 15, further comprising a drive means coupled to said hood for positioning said hood above one of said first, second and third stack positions. 17. The production system of claim 13, wherein said top surface of said hood is configured to receive at least one part carrier. 18. The production system of claim 17, further comprising a drawer attached to said top surface of said hood, said drawer being configured for receiving a part carrier therein and being extendabe from said first stack position to the outside, when said door is open. 19.
