A gun barrel cleaning system adapted for storage in the pistol grip of a firearm. The gun barrel cleaning system generally comprises a carrier unit that is removably mounted within the cavity of the pistol grip by a flanged mounting bracket, and a plurality of gun barrel cleaning tools stored in the carrier unit.
