A tripod as claimed in claim 10, wherein the arms of the two latching devices are located side by side one another on the leg with a bridging member linking the arms. 13. A tripod as claimed in claim 10, wherein the latching devices are mounted at the ends of the leg remote from the hub to which they are hinged. 14.
