The annuloplasty ring of claim 1 wherein each support member comprises a body member having a lumen formed therein, said lumen being capable of receiving said sizing member therein.3. The annuloplasty ring of claim 1 wherein said outer attachment sheath is selected from the group consisting of:biologically compatible fabric mesh;polyethylene terepthalate;polyester knit;PTFE knit; andePTFE knit.5. The annuloplasty ring of claim 1 wherein said outer attachment sheath comprises a medicament to induce tissue growth.6. The annuloplasty ring of claim 1 wherein said annuloplasty ring further comprises a plurality of attachment devices positioned thereon.7. The annuloplasty ring of claim 6 wherein said attachment devices are selected from the group consisting of:needles;barbs; andhooks.8. The annuloplasty ring of claim 6 wherein said attachment devices are manufactured from stainless steel.9. The annuloplasty ring of claim 6 wherein said attachment devices are manufactured from a Nickel-Titanium alloy.10. A sizable self-molding annuloplasty ring for implantation in a heart valve annulus, comprising: a resilient inner sizing member in the shape of a continuous ring that has a relaxed diameter and can be stretched to a expanded diameter; anda plurality of support members each having a receiving lumen formed therein which is capable of receiving the inner sizing member, the inner sizing member being positioned within the lumens of the support members;wherein the plurality of support members are biased by the inner sizing member to engage one another and limit contraction of the inner sizing member to a contracted diameter;wherein the contracted diameter is larger than the relaxed diameter but smaller than the expanded diameter.11. The annuloplasty ring of claim 10 wherein said outer attachment sheath is selected from the group consisting of:biologically compatible fabric mesh;polyethylene terepthalate;polyester knit;PTFE knit; andePTFE knit.12. The annuloplasty ring of claim 10 wherein said outer attachment sheath comprises a medicament to induce tissue growth.13.
