An adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly for a vehicle which includes a throttle pedal arm and support arm pivotally mounted to a bracket. An electronic throttle control unit is mounted to the bracket at the pivot point of the pedal arm assembly. A first adjustment drive mechanism extends in a space formed between the support arm and throttle pedal arm. The adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly also includes a brake pedal arm mounted to the bracket. A second adjustment mechanism is operatively attached to the brake pedal arm. The second adjustment mechanism is operatively connected to the first adjustment mechanism, to cooperatively position the throttle pedal arm and the brake pedal arm at a selected position between a retracted position and an extended position.

The adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly for a vehicle comprising:a support bracket mounted to said vehicle;a support arm having one end pivotally mounted to said bracket;a throttle pedal arm pivotally mounted to another end of said support arm;a first adjustment mechanism extending between said support arm and said throttle pedal arm, said first adjustment mechanism having a screw rod attached to one of said throttle pedal arm and said support arm;a brake pedal arm having one end pivotally mounted to said support bracket; anda second adjustment mechanism operatively connected to said first adjustment mechanism, said second adjustment mechanism having a screw rod attached to said brake pedal arm wherein said first adjustment mechanism and said second adjustment mechanism cooperatively position the throttle pedal arm and the brake pedal arm at a selected position between a retracted position and an extended position. 2. The adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly of claim 1 wherein said support arm has a portion extending in a direction outwardly from said bracket over said first adjustment mechanism. 3. The adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly of claim 2 wherein said throttle pedal arm has an upper portion and a lower portion which extends from said upper portion in a direction towards said bracket and under said first adjustment mechanism. 4. The adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly of claim 1 further comprising a motor mounted to said bracket and a drive cable interconnecting said motor with said first adjustment mechanism and said second adjustment mechanism. 5. The adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly of claim 1 wherein said support arm includes a vertically extending portion and said throttle pedal arm has an upper portion which is substantially parallel to said vertically extending portion of said support arm when said throttle pedal arm is in said retracted position. 6. The adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly of claim 5 wherein said first adjustment mechanism extends between said vertically extending portion of said support arm and said upper portion of said throttle pedal arm. 7. The adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly of claim 1 further comprising:an electronic control mounted to said bracket, said electronic control providing a signal indicative of a position of said throttle pedal arm assembly. 8. An adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly for a vehicle comprising:a support bracket mounted to said vehicle;a support arm having one end pivotally mounted to said bracket, said support arm having a lower portion and an upper portion extending in a direction outwardly from said bracket;a throttle pedal arm pivotally mounted to another end of said support arm, said throttle pedal arm having a lower portion which extends in a direction towards said support bracket;a first adjustment mechanism extending between said support arm and said throttle pedal arm, said first adjustment mechanism having a screw rod attached to one of said throttle pedal arm and said support arm, and extending between said upper portion of said support arm and said upper portion of said pedal arm;a brake pedal arm having one end pivotally mounted to said support bracket;a second adjustment mechanism having a screw rod operatively attached to said brake pedal arm;a connecting means interconnecting said first adjustment mechanism and said second adjustment mechanism, wherein said first adjustment mechanism and said second adjustment mechanism cooperatively position both the throttle pedal arm and the brake pedal arm at a desired position between a retracted position and an extended position; andan electronic control mounted to said bracket, said electronic control providing a signal indicative of a position of said throttle pedal arm. 9. The adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly of claim 8 further comprising a motor mounted to said bracket and a drive cable interconnecting said motor with said first adjustment mechanism and said second adjustment mechanism. 10. The adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly of claim 8 wherein said first adjustment mechanism extends between said vertically extending portion of said support arm and said upper portion of said throttle pedal arm.
