A reciprocating lubricator includes a lubricator base, a lubricator tube connected at the top to a lubricator head and inserted through a packing in the lubricator base to provide a sealable chamber adapted to accommodate a downhole tool to be inserted into a wellbore against well fluid pressure. The chamber in the lubricator tube is sealed using equipment mounted to the lubricator head.
