Systems and methods are provided for customized displays and customized presentations of cockpit data. Configurable soft keys or controls located in close proximity to a cockpit display are provided. Each key is configured to perform a desired display function or other function. Labels are displayed adjacent to each of the soft keys to identify each of the soft keys.
