We claim: 1. A magnetorheological composition comprising; magnetic responsive particles having an average number diameter distribution of about 6 to about 100 microns and at least one additive that reduces interparticle friction between the magnetic-responsive particles wherein the magnetic responsive particles are non-spherical in shape and the additive is present in an amount of about 0.1 to about 10 weight percent of the magnetic-responsive particles, and the additive comprises one or more of polytetrafluoroethylene, fluorinated ethylene-propylene polymer, or hexafluoropropylene epoxide polymer. 2. The magnetorheological composition of claim 1, wherein the magnetic-responsive particles and at least one additive are provided as a substantially dry powder. 3. The magnetorheological composition of claim 1, wherein the magnetic-responsive particles are provided in an amount of about 60 to about 90 weight percent of the total magnetorheological composition. 4. The magnetorheological composition of claim 1, wherein the magnetic-responsive particles are iron particles containing less than 1% carbon. 5. The magnetorheological composition of claim 1, wherein the additive further comprises a molybdenum sulfide or a molybdenum phosphate. 6. The magnetorheological composition of claim 1, wherein the additive is polyterafluroroethlyene. 7. The magnetorheological composition of claim 1, including a compound comprising a thixotropic agent, a carboxylate soap, an antioxidant, a lubricant, or a viscosity modifier, or combinations thereof. 8. The magnetorheological composition of claim 1, wherein the non-spherical magnetic-responsive particles comprise iron particles containing at least about 95% iron. 9. The magnetorheological composition of claim 1, wherein the non-spherical magnetic-responsive particles have an average number distribution of about 10 to about 60 microns. 10. The magnetorheological composition of claim 9, wherein the non-spherical magnetic-responsive particles have an average number distribution of about 15 to about 30 microns. 11. The magnetorheological composition of claim 9, wherein at least 60% of the non-spherical magnetic-responsive particles have an average number distribution of at least 16 microns. 12. The magnetorheological composition of claim 9, wherein at least 70% of the non-spherical magnetic-responsive particles have an average number distribution of at least 10 microns. 13. The magnetorheological composition of claim 1, wherein said magnetic-responsive particles are made of stainless-steel. 14. The magnetorheological composition of claim 1, including a compound comprising natural fatty oil, mineral oil, polyphenylether, dibasic acid ester, neopentylpolyol ester, polyester, cycloparaffin oil, paraffin oil, unsaturated hydrocarbon oil, synthetic hydrocarbon oil, monobasic acid ester, glycol ester, glycol ether, synthetic hydrocarbon, perfluorinated polyether, or halogenated hydrocarbon, or combinations thereof. 15. The magnetorheological composition of claim 14, wherein the compound comprises said mineral oil, paraffin oil, cylcoparaffin oil, or said synthethic hydrocarbon oil, or combinations thereof. 16. A magnetorheological composition comprising: magnetic responsive particles having an average number diameter distribution of about 6 to about 100 microns and about 50-70% having an irregular shape, and at least one additive that reduces interparticle friction between the magnetic-responsive particles and which comprises an inorganic molybdenum compound. 17. The magnetorheological composition of claim 16, including a compound comprising natural fatty oil, mineral oil, polyphenylether, dibasic acid ester, neopentylpolyol ester, polyester, cycloparaffin oil, paraffin oil, unsaturated hydrocarbon oil, synthetic hydrocarbon oil, monobasic acid ester, glycol ester, glycol ether, synthetic hydrocarbon, perfluorinated polyether, or halogenated hydrocarbon, or combinations thereof. 18. The magnetorheological composition of claim 17, wherein the compound comprises said mineral oil, paraffin oil, cylcoparaffin oil, or said synthethic hydrocarbon oil, or combinations thereof. 19. The magnetorheological composition of claim 16, including a compound comprising a thixotropic agent, a carboxylate soap, an antioxidant, a lubricant, or a viscosity modifier, or combinations thereof. 20. The magnetorheological composition of claim 16, wherein the non-spherical magnetic-responsive particles comprise iron particles containing at least about 95% iron. 21. The magnetorheological composition of claim 16, wherein the non-spherical magnetic-responsive particles have an average number distribution of about 10 to about 60 microns. 22. The magnetorheological composition of claim 21, wherein the non-spherical magnetic-responsive particles have an average number distribution of about 15 to about 30 microns. 23. The magnetorheological composition of claim 21, wherein at least 60% of the non-spherical magnetic-responsive particles have an average number distribution of at least 16 microns. 24. The magnetorheological composition of claim 21, wherein at least 70% of the non-spherical magnetic-responsive particles have an average number distribution of at least 10 microns. 25. The magnetorheological composition of claim 16, wherein said magnetic-responsive particles are made of stainless-steel. 26. The magnetorheological composition of claim 16, wherein the additive is present in an amount of about 0.1 to about 10 weight percent of the magnetic-responsive particles. 27. The magnetorheological composition of claim 16, wherein the magnetic-responsive particles and at least one additive are provided as a substantially dry powder. 28. The magnetorheological composition of claim 16, wherein the magnetic-responsive particles are provided in an amount of about 60 to about 90 weight percent of the total magnetorheological composition. 29.
