A core material for a vacuum insulation material is produced by forming under heat a mat of inorganic fibers with an uncured, thermosetting organic binder adhered thereon into the core material while pressing the mat for at least 30 seconds such that a density of the mat increases to 150 to 400 kg/m3.
The invention claimed is: 1. A production process of a core material for a vacuum insulation material having substantially horizontally extending fibers relative to the direction of the plane of said core material, wherein the production process comprises forming under heat a mat of inorganic fibers with an uncured, thermosetting organic binder adhered thereon into said core material while pressing said mat for a period of at least 30 seconds such that a density of said mat increases to 150 kg/m3 to 400 kg/m3 during said forming of said core material, w...
