A communication control method for a wireless communication system having a plurality of wireless communication stations, comprising the steps of: measuring, in a first wireless communication station, a propagation path gain between said first wireless communication station and a second wireless communication station; transmitting information of said measured propagation path gain from said first wireless communication station; receiving the transmitted propagation information of said measured propagation path gain transmitted from said first wireless communication station in said second wireless communication station; and controlling transmission power in said second wireless communication station to increase transmission power thereof in transmitting information from said second wireless communication station according to said propagation information transmitted from said first wireless communication station when said measured propagation path gain, as indicated by said propagation information, becomes higher, and to reduce said transmission power when said measured propagation path gain, as indicated by said propagation information, becomes lower. 2. A communication control method according to claim 1, further comprising the step of: controlling a data rate to set the data rate higher when said measured propagation path gain, as indicated by said propagation information transmitted from said first wireless communication station, becomes higher and set the data rate lower when said measured propagation path gain becomes lower. 3. A communication control method according to claim 2, wherein said propagation information being transmitted from said first wireless communication station is encoded according to the data rate. 4. A communication control method according to claim 1, further comprising the steps of: measuring reception quality in said first wireless communication station; transmitting information of said measured reception quality from said first wireless communication station; receiving said transmitted reception quality information of said measured reception quality in said second wireless communication station; and controlling data rate in said second wireless communication station, according to said transmitted reception quality information, to increase said data rate when said measured reception quality becomes better, and to reduce said data rate when said measured reception quality becomes worse. 5. A communication control method according to claim 1, wherein said information to be transmitted from said second wireless communication station is subjected to error correction encoding effective for iterative decoding. 6. A communication control method for a wireless communication system having a plurality of wireless communication stations, comprising the steps of: measuring, in a first wireless communication station, a propagation path gain in said first wireless communication station; transmitting the propagation information of said measured propagation path gain from said first wireless communication station; receiving said transmitted propagation information of said measured propagation path gain transmitted from said first wireless communication station in a second wireless communication station; controlling transmission power in said second wireless communication station to increase transmission power thereof in transmitting information from said second wireless communication station according to said propagation information transmitted from said first wireless communication station when said measured propagation path gain, as indicated by said propagation information, becomes higher, and to reduce said transmission power when said measured propagation path gain, as indicated by said propagation information, becomes lower; measuring reception quality in said first wireless communication station; transmitting information of said measured reception quality from said first wireless communication station; receiving said transmitted reception quality information of said measured reception quality in said second wireless communication station; controlling data rate in said second wireless communication station, according to said transmitted reception quality information, to increase said data rate when said measured reception quality becomes better, and to reduce said data rate when said measured reception quality becomes worse; and encoding transmission data in said second wireless communication station, wherein the step of controlling data rate comprises the steps of: dividing one unit of said encoded transmission data into a plurality of blocks, transmitting at least a part of said plurality of blocks, and controlling transmission of blocks following said part of said plurality of blocks according to said transmitted reception quality information of said measured reception quality indicating a result of error correction at the second wireless communication station. 7. A wireless communication system comprising: first and second wireless communication stations, wherein said first wireless communication station comprises: a measuring unit for measuring a propagation path gain, a control signal generator for generating a transmission control signal in accordance with said measured propagation path gain, and a transmitter for transmitting said transmission control signal, and wherein said second wireless communication station comprises: a receiver for receiving said transmission control signal, and a control unit for controlling transmission power in transmitting a signal in accordance with said transmission control signal, wherein said control signal generator in said first wireless communication station comprises: a power control signal generator for generating a power control signal in accordance with said propagation path gain, a reception quality information generator for generating a reception quality signal indicating reception quality information based on an error of a received signal, and a multiplexer for multiplexing said transmission control signal from said control signal generator and said reception quality signal from said reception quality information generator for transmission by said transmitter, wherein said control unit in said second wireless communication station, based on said reception quality signal received from said transmitter of said first wireless communications station, controls a data rate to increase said data rate when said reception quality information becomes better, and to reduce said data rate when said reception quality information becomes worse. 8. A wireless communication system according to claim 7, wherein said power control signal is a signal for giving an instruction to increase or decrease said transmission power. 9. A wireless communication system according to claim 7, wherein said reception quality information includes information indicating presence/absence of any decoding error or the number of decoding errors. 10. A wireless communication system comprising: first and second wireless communication stations, wherein said first wireless communication station comprises: a measuring unit for measuring a propagation path gain, a control signal generator for generating a transmission control signal in accordance with said measured propagation path gain, and a transmitter for transmitting said transmission control signal, and wherein said second wireless communication station comprises: a receiver for receiving said transmission control signal, and a control unit for controlling transmission power in transmitting a signal in accordance with said transmission control signal, wherein said measuring unit, in said first wireless communication station, measures reception quality, wherein said control signal generator, in said first wireless communication station, generates the transmission control signal in accordance with said measured reception quality, wherein said control unit, in said second wireless communication station, controls a data rate in accordance with said transmission control signal which indicates said measured reception quality, and wherein said control unit, in said second wireless communication station, controls a data rate in accordance with said transmission control signal which indicates said measured propagation path gain, wherein the control unit, in said second wireless communication station, receives encoded transmission data to be transmitted from said second wireless communication station, divides one unit of said encoded transmission data into a plurality of blocks and controls transmission of said plurality of blocks according to said transmission control signal which indicates said measured reception quality, wherein the first wireless communication station further comprises: an error correction decoder for carrying out error correction decoding by iterative decoding, and wherein said second wireless communication station further comprises: an error correction encoder, and wherein said control unit, in said second wireless communication station, performs control, according to said transmission control signal which indicates said measured reception quality, to increase said data rate when said reception quality becomes better and to decrease said data rate when said reception quality becomes worse, and performs control, according to said transmission control signal which indicates said measured propagation path gain, to increase said transmission power of said second wireless communication station when said propagation path gain becomes higher and to reduce said transmission power of said second wireless communication station when said propagation path gain becomes lower. 11. A wireless communication system according to claim 10, wherein said control unit sets an average data rate to be high when said propagation path gain becomes higher, and sets said average data rate to be low when said propagation path gain becomes lower. 12. A wireless communication system comprising: first and second wireless communication stations, wherein said first wireless communication station comprises: a measuring unit for measuring a propagation path gain, a control signal generator for generating a transmission control signal in accordance with said measured propagation path gain, and a transmitter for transmitting said transmission control signal, and wherein said second wireless communication station comprises: a receiver for receiving said transmission control signal, and a control unit for controlling transmission power in transmitting a signal in accordance with said transmission control signal, wherein said measuring unit, in said first wireless communication station measures reception quality, wherein said control signal generator, in said first wireless communication station, generates the transmission control signal in accordance with said measured reception quality, wherein said control unit, in said second wireless communication station, controls a data rate, according to said transmission control signal which indicates said measured reception quality, and wherein said control unit, in said second wireless communication station, controls a data rate, according to said transmission control signal which indicates said measured propagation path gain, wherein said control unit, in said second wireless communication station, receives encoded transmission data to be transmitted from said second wireless communication station, divides one unit of said encoded transmission data into a plurality of blocks and controls transmission of said plurality of blocks according to said transmission control signal which indicates said measured reception quality, wherein the first wireless communication station further comprises: an error correction decoder for carrying out error correction decoding by iterative decoding of reception data, and wherein said second wireless communication station further comprises: an error correction encoder for carrying out error correction encoding of transmission data, wherein said first wireless communication station further comprises: means for measuring noise power, and wherein said control unit, in said second wireless communication station, reduces said transmission power of said second wireless communication station when said noise power becomes higher and increases said transmission power of said second wireless communication station when said noise power becomes lower. 13. A wireless communication system according to claim 12, wherein said control signal generator in said first wireless communication station comprises: a power control signal generator for generating a power control signal in accordance with said propagation path gain; a reception quality information generator for generating a signal indicating reception quality information based on an error of a received signal; and a multiplexer for multiplexing said signals from said power control signal generator and said reception quality information generator, wherein said control unit in said second wireless communication station controls a data rate when said reception quality information becomes better, and to reduce said data rate when said reception quality information becomes worse. 14. A wireless communication system according to claim 13, wherein said power control signal is a signal for giving an instruction to increase or decrease said transmission power. 15. A wireless communication system according to claim 13, wherein said reception quality information includes information indicating presence/absence of any decoding error or the number of decoding errors.
