A method of manufacturing a wind power installation, the wind power installation comprising a pylon, a rotor, rotor blades and a generator, which is supported by the pylon, the method comprising: disposing a power module in a container, wherein the power module includes a transformer to transform electrical power provided by the generator; fixing the container in or to the pylon after disposing the power module in the container; erecting the pylon at the wind power installation site after fixing the container therein or thereto; mounting the generator on or to the pylon; and mounting rotor blades on the rotor, wherein the rotor blades are exposed to wind during operation of the wind power installation. 2. The method of claim 1 further comprising feeding electrical power provided by the generator into a network. 3. The method of claim 2 wherein the power module further includes a plurality of electrical devices for controlling the wind power installation and/or transmitting and/or converting electrical power provided by the generator. 4. An offshore wind power installation manufactured according to a method comprising the method of claim 1. 5. The method of claim 1 wherein the container further includes a substantially cylindrical cross-section. 6. The method of claim 1 wherein the container further includes a water-tight container and wherein the method further includes disposing the transformer in the water-tight container. 7. The method of claim 1 wherein the container further includes a water-tight closure of the container. 8. The method of claim 1 wherein the container further includes a water-tight door. 9. The method of claim 1 further comprising mounting the rotor on the pylon after erecting the pylon. 10. The method of claim 1 wherein the container is a water-tight container. 11. The method of claim 1 wherein the power module further includes a plurality of electrical devices for controlling the wind power installation and/or transmitting and/or converting electrical power provided by the generator. 12. The method of claim 11 wherein the plurality of electrical devices includes an inverter and/or at least one switching cabinet. 13. The method of claim 1 further comprising transporting the pylon to the wind power installation site and thereafter erecting the pylon, having the container fixed therein or thereto, on a foundation or platform.
