A trimmer line, hook disk system in the form of a line trimmer head (e.g. FIGS. 11 & 11A) as a replacement for attaching to a powered, rotational device to provide a line filament grass cutting action, which trimmer head includes a circular, protective base or bottom (D2), a circular, main trimmer head substrate (D3), the two forming a disk shape, and a series of peripherally spaced line holders; with these three basic elements attached together with appropriate fasteners for ultimate attachment to a powered device. Eleven exemplary line holders are shown in FIGS. 1-10B, respectively, with some allowing oscillating (O) motion in their attachment to the trimmer head substrate (D3) and/or fixed (F) in their attachment. A "broom" embodiment is shown in FIG. 18. When in use, flexible line made, for example, of nylon, is inserted in and held by the line holders preferably using hook or hook-like line attachments.

What is claimed is: 1. What is claimed is: 1. A flexible line trimming system for cutting grass, weeds and the like, comprising: a powered device providing rotary power at a power end; a flexible trimmer line head add-on attached to the power end of said powered device for rotation, said trimmer line head add-on including: a protective base (D2), a main trimmer head substrate (D3) attached to said protective base on its bottom side forming a combined substrate and base, and having an upper side, and a series of at least two, peripherally spaced, line holders attached to said upper side of said trimmer head substrate with the attachment allowing said line holders to oscillate back and forth about respective vertical axes and located adjacent to the periphery of said trimmer head substrate spaced a hundred and eighty (180°) degrees apart from one another, said line holders each having a series of at least two, spaced but adjacent, parallel holes extending from end-to-end completely through said line holder, with the material between said two holes serving as a central member about which a bent back, flexible trimming line is positionable with the central crook of the bent back line being wrappable around said central member and with the rest of the line segments positionable in and extending completely through said openings with the distal ends of the flexible trimming line extending out of and past said line holders and said periphery of said combined base and substrate, wherein said base, said substrate and said line holders, attached together as an integral unit, are rotated at a relatively high speed by the powered device, causing trimming lines to move straight, radially out under the action of centrifugal force but allowing the trimming lines to move backwards due to impeding forces causing its respective line holder to oscillate back a limited amount while the integral unit is rotated at a relatively high speed by the powered device. 2. The flexible line trimming system of claim 1, wherein: said substrate and said base are circular such that the combined substrate and base is circular, the combined substrate and base having a circular periphery past which the flexible trimmer lines distally are extended when attached to said line holders for trimming use. 3. A flexible line trimming system for cutting grass, weeds and the like, comprising: a powered device providing rotary power at a power end; a flexible trimmer line head add-on attached to the power end of said powered device for rotation, said trimmer line head add-on including: a protective base, a main trimmer head substrate attached to said protective base on its bottom side forming a combined substrate and base, and having an upper side, and a series of at least two, peripherally spaced, line holders attached to said upper side of said trimmer head substrate with the attachment allowing said line holders to oscillate back and forth about respective vertical axes and located adjacent to the periphery of said trimmer head substrate, said line holders each having a series of at least two, spaced but adjacent, parallel holes extending from end-to-end completely through said line holder, with the material between said two holes serving as a central member about which a bent back, flexible trimming line is positionable with the central crook of the bent back line being wrappable around said central member and with the rest of the line segments positionable in and extending completely through said openings with the distal ends of the flexible trimming line extending out of and past said line holders and said periphery of said combined base and substrate, wherein said base, said substrate and said line holders, attached together as an integral unit, are rotated by the powered device, causing trimming lines to move straight, radially out under the action of centrifugal force but allowing the trimming lines to move backwards due to impeding forces causing its respective line holder to oscillate back a limited amount while the integral unit is rotated by the powered device. 4. The flexible line trimming system of claim 3, wherein: said substrate and said base are circular such that the combined substrate and base is circular, the combined substrate and base having a circular periphery past which the flexible trimmer lines distally are extended when attached to said line holders for trimming use.
