Patterns (e.g., such as images, waveforms such as sounds, electromagnetic waves, or other signals, etc.) are synthesized, modulated and/or analyzed through the use of a computer programmed with a novel mathematical formula. The formula acts as a linear operator and can be used to create a variety of shapes, waveforms, and other representations. The formula greatly enhances ability in computer operations and provides a great savings in computer memory and a substantial increase in computing power.

What is claimed is: 1. A computer-graphics-display system for computer graphics imaging, comprising: a processor; memory; and a monitor that displays the computer graphics images; said computer-graphics-display system being programmed with a representation of the following formula: where parameters a, b, ni and mi are finite real numbers, n1≠0, and a and b≠0; said computer-graphics-display system being configured to generate a form based on a set of values for the parameters a, b, n1, n2, n3, m1 and m2 stored in the memory and input into said formula; said monitor displaying at least one physical representation of the form as a computer graphics image generated by the processor with polar coordinates of said form displayed on said monitor corresponding to values of r based on various angular positions Φ and where values for said parameters a, b, n1, n2, n3, m1 and m2 are not equal to 1 and where n2≠n3; whereby the computer graphics image is displayed on said monitor for observation by a user with minimized computer memory storage requirements. 2. The system of claim 1, further comprising said monitor displaying computer graphics image modifications of said computer graphics image by varying at least some of said parameters based on user input or computer generation of modified parameter values. 3. The system of claim 2, further comprising displaying on said monitor said computer graphics image and said computer graphics image modifications of said computer graphics image sequentially in time. 4. The system of claim 1, further comprising modifying the computer graphics image displayed on said monitor using a mouse or user manipulated display pointer device. 5. The system of claim 1, further including modifying said computer graphics image displayed on said monitor using super-position or reiteration operations. 6. The system of claim 1, further including said system being configured for modifying said form generated. 7. The system of claim 6, wherein said modifying includes the process of superposition of multiple supershapes. 8. The system of claim 6, wherein said modifying includes the process of reiteration of multiple supershapes. 9. The system of claim 6, wherein said modifying includes inflating the form. 10. The system of claim 9, wherein said inflating includes stepwise increasing at least one of n1, n2 or n3. 11. The system of claim 10, wherein said inflating is performed to create a visually perceived continuous transformation of the form. 12. The system of claim 6, wherein said modifying includes altering at least one parameter other than n2 and n3. 13. The system of claim 1, wherein the parameters n1, n2, n3, m1 and m2 are selected, and wherein the values of a and b are non-selected constants. 14. The system of claim 13, wherein the values of m1 and m2 are the same and are selected together. 15. The system of claim 1, further including said system being configured to present relationships between forms by: creating a second form based upon a representation of said formula, said second form differing from said form based on a difference in at least one of the parameters a, b, n1, n2, n3, m1, or m2; presenting said form and said second form for observation. 16. The system of claim 15, wherein said presenting includes said form and said second form being visually displayed proximate one another. 17. The system of claim 15, wherein said form and said second form are presented sequentially in time. 18. The system of claim 17, wherein said form and said second form are visually displayed sequentially in time. 19. The system of claim 17, wherein a multitude of additional forms, created by stepwise incrementing of at least the parameters m1 or m2, are displayed sequentially in time to create a stepwise visual transformation over time. 20. A computer-graphics-display system for computer graphics imaging, comprising: a processor; memory; and a monitor that displays the computer graphics images; said memory containing computer programming including a representation of the following formula: where parameters a, b, ni and mi are finite real numbers, n1≠0, and a and b≠0, said programming including means for providing values for said parameters a, b, n1, n2, n3, m1 and m2; said computer-graphics-display system being configured to generate forms based on provided values and displaying computer graphics images of said forms, wherein said provided values for said parameters n1, n2, n3, m1 and m2 are not equal to 1 and wherein n2≠n3; said computer-graphics-display system being configured such that said monitor displays a first form, corresponding to polar coordinate values of r related to various angular positions Φ, as a computer graphics image generated by said processor based on a first set of provided values for said parameters; said computer-graphics-display system storing in memory at least some of said first set of provided values for said parameters such as to minimize memory requirements for display of said first form; said computer-graphics-display system being configured such that said monitor displays another form, corresponding to polar coordinate values of r related to various angular positions Φ, as a computer graphics image generated by said processor based on another set of provided values for said parameters; said computer-graphics-display system storing in memory at least some of said another set of provided values for said parameters such as to minimize memory requirements for display of said another form; whereby said computer-graphics-display system causes the monitor to display computer graphics images, with minimized memory requirements, based on sets of provided values for said parameters. 21.
