A travel cooler includes a wheeled platform and an insulated container configured to be selectively coupled to, and uncoupled from, the wheeled platform. The wheeled platform includes a base, a plurality of wheels mounted to the base for rolling movement of the platform and a first coupling component fixedly disposed on the base. The insulated container includes a second coupling component fixedly disposed on the container. The first and second coupling components are disengaged from one another when the insulated container is uncoupled from the wheeled platform. The first and second coupling components are disposed in interlocking engagement when the insulated container is coupled to the wheeled platform, whereby the insulated container is securely coupled to the wheeled platform in fixed disposition relative thereto for safe transportation on the wheeled platform. The base defines a container receiving recess within which a bottom portion of the insulated container is received when the insulated container is coupled to the wheeled platform.

What is claimed is: 1. A travel cooler assembly, comprising: (a) a wheeled platform including, (i) a base, and (ii) a plurality of wheels mounted to said base for rolling movement of said wheeled platform; and (b) an insulated container including, (i) a rim and a lid, (ii) collapsible walls on which said rim and lid are supported, and (iii) a bottom wall from which said collapsible walls extend, (iv) wherein said collapsible walls and said bottom wall define a waterproof cooler, and (v) wherein said insulated container is configured to be selectively coupled to, and uncoupled from, said wheeled platform; (c) wherein said wheeled platform defines a container receiving recess within which a bottom portion of said insulated container is received when said insulated container is coupled to said wheeled platform, said collapsible walls of said insulated container extending out of said container receiving recess defined by said wheeled platform when said insulated container is coupled to said wheeled platform in a first configuration, and said collapsible walls being in a collapsed condition when said insulated container is coupled to said wheeled platform in a second configuration; and (d) wherein said insulated container further includes a drain conduit and said container receiving recess includes an opening configured to receive said drain conduit therein when said insulated container is coupled to said wheeled platform, and said opening is located at or near a bottom surface of the base. 2. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said base includes a peripheral wall defining said container receiving recess. 3. The travel cooler assembly of claim 2, wherein said peripheral wall defines a profile that matches a profile of the outermost periphery of said insulated container such that said peripheral wall extends in close proximity to said outermost periphery of said insulated container for support thereof when said insulated container is coupled to said wheeled platform, wherein said outermost periphery of said insulated container does not extend over said peripheral wall when said insulated container is coupled to said wheeled platform in the second configuration. 4. The travel cooler assembly of claim 3, wherein said peripheral wall completely encircles said outermost periphery of said insulated container when said insulated container is coupled to said wheeled platform in the second configuration. 5. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said wheeled platform further includes a first plurality of coupling components fixedly disposed on said base; and wherein said insulated container further includes a second plurality of coupling components fixedly disposed on said container and configured to engage said first plurality of coupling components such that said wheeled platform and said insulated container may be selectively coupled and decoupled. 6. The travel cooler assembly of claim 5, wherein said first plurality of coupling components is configured to snap into interlocking engagement with said second plurality of coupling components. 7. The travel cooler assembly of claim 5, wherein said first plurality of coupling components is disposed on a top surface of said base, said top surface defining a floor of the container receiving recess, said first plurality of coupling components being disposed in the same arrangement relative to one another as the arrangement of said second plurality of coupling components. 8. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said wheeled platform includes a first coupling component, wherein said insulated container includes a second coupling component, and wherein said first and second coupling components are configured to snap into interlocking engagement with one another when said insulated cooler is selectively coupled to said wheeled platform. 9. The travel cooler assembly of claim 8, wherein said first coupling component is disposed on a top surface of said base, which top surface defines a floor of the container receiving recess. 10. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said insulated container, when coupled to said wheeled platform, extends above said wheeled platform when in the first configuration. 11. The travel cooler assembly of claim 10, wherein the overall height of the travel cooler assembly is substantially greater than the height of said wheeled platform when said insulated container is coupled to said wheeled platform in the first configuration. 12. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said insulated container, when coupled to said wheeled platform, does not extend above said wheeled platform when in the second configuration. 13. The travel cooler assembly of claim 12, wherein the overall height of the travel cooler assembly is substantially the same as the height of said wheeled platform when said insulated container is coupled to said wheeled platform in the second configuration. 14. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said wheeled platform extends entirely below said insulated container to define a floor of the container receiving recess upon which said insulated container is supported when coupled to said wheeled platform. 15. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said collapsible walls of said insulated container comprise inflatable walls. 16. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said opening of said wheeled platform is located in a floor of said container receiving recess, and wherein said drain conduit is located in said bottom wall of said insulated container. 17. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said rim is at least partially received with the container receiving recess when said insulated container is selectively coupled to said base in the second configuration. 18. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said lid is at least partially received with the container receiving recess when said insulated container is selectively coupled to said base in the second configuration. 19. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said collapsible walls comprise inflatable front and rear walls and opposite side walls, and wherein said insulated container further comprises a single valve for inflating of said front and rear walls and said opposite side walls. 20. The travel cooler assembly of claim 1, wherein said rim and said lid enclose the insulated space of the waterproof cooler.
