The invention claimed is: 1. A method for managing vapors from an ammonia-containing reductant delivery system of a vehicle, the vehicle having an engine, the method comprising: during at least a portion of engine-off conditions, storing ammonia generated in the reductant delivery system by decomposition of a reductant; after said storing and during at least a portion of engine operation, purging the stored ammonia from a storage device of the reductant delivery system into an exhaust flow of the engine, where said purging comprises introducing air into the storage device, and where introducing the air relieves a vacuum in the storage device; and reacting at least a portion of the ammonia at a catalyst in the exhaust flow. 2. The method of claim 1 further comprising providing tractive effort to drive the vehicle from an electric motor during said engine-off conditions. 3. The method of claim 1 wherein said vehicle is shut-down during said engine-off conditions. 4. The method of claim 1 wherein said purging further comprises one or more of drawing the stored ammonia from the reductant delivery system via a venturi and pumping the air into the storage device. 5. The method of claim 1 wherein said storing comprises storing the ammonia in a sorbent. 6. The method of claim 5 wherein said storing comprises storing the ammonia in a catalyst sorbent. 7. The method of claim 1 wherein said storing comprises storing the ammonia in a charcoal canister. 8. The method of claim 5, wherein said storing comprises venting a pressure in the reductant delivery system to atmosphere. 9. The method of claim 1, further comprising adjusting an amount of the reductant injected into the exhaust flow based on an amount of the stored ammonia purged into the exhaust flow. 10. The method of claim 1, wherein said reacting comprises reacting at an SCR catalyst. 11. The method of claim 1, wherein said purging is enacted selectively, based at least partly on one or more of a catalyst temperature, an exhaust temperature, and an ambient temperature. 12. The method of claim 1, wherein said purging is enacted selectively based at least partly on an amount of the stored ammonia in the reductant delivery system. 13. The method of claim 1 wherein said storing comprises storing the ammonia in a sorbent, and said purging is enacted selectively based at least partly on an amount of the stored ammonia in the sorbent. 14. The method of claim 1 wherein said storing comprises storing the ammonia in a zeolite catalyst. 15. The method of claim 1 wherein said storing includes storing ammonia generated due to ambient heat and/or residual engine heat from a previous vehicle operation. 16. A method for managing vapors from an ammonia-containing reductant delivery system of a vehicle, the vehicle having an engine, the method comprising: during at least a portion of engine-off conditions, storing ammonia generated in the reductant delivery system by decomposition of a reductant due to ambient heat and/or residual engine heat from a previous vehicle operation; and after said storing and during at least a portion of engine operation, purging the stored ammonia from a storage device of the reductant delivery system into an exhaust flow of the engine, where said purging comprises introducing air into the storage device, and where introducing the air relieves a vacuum in the storage device; reacting at least a portion of the stored ammonia at an SCR catalyst with NOx generated from said engine operation; and reducing an amount of reductant injected into the exhaust flow during said purging. 17. The method of claim 16 wherein said storing comprises storing the ammonia in a sorbent, and said purging is enacted selectively based at least partly on an amount of the stored ammonia in the sorbent and comprises one or more of drawing the stored ammonia from the reductant delivery system via a venturi and pumping air into the storage device. 18. A method for managing vapors from an ammonia-containing urea reductant delivery system of a vehicle, the vehicle having an engine, the method comprising: during at least a portion of engine-off conditions, storing ammonia generated in the urea reductant delivery system by decomposition of urea due to ambient heat and/or residual engine heat from a previous vehicle operation; after said storing and during at least a portion of engine operation, purging the stored ammonia from a storage device of the reductant delivery system into an exhaust flow of the engine, where said purging comprises introducing air into the storage device, and where introducing the air relieves a vacuum in the storage device; reacting at least a portion of said ammonia in an SCR catalyst with NOx generated from said engine operation, where at least one of an amount and a frequency of said purging is increased during increased temperature conditions; and reducing an amount of urea injected into the exhaust flow during said purging. 19. The method of claim 18, wherein said purging further comprises one or more of drawing the stored ammonia from the reductant delivery system via a venturi and pumping air into the storage device. 20. The method of claim 1, where the vacuum relieved is caused by a temperature change in the reductant delivery system. 21. The method of claim 1, where the vacuum relieved is caused by a release of the stored ammonia from the storage device. 22. The method of claim 1, where said storing comprises storing the ammonia in the storage device.
