The invention provides a method and apparatus for positioning a lighting device in a reflector. The exemplary apparatus includes a reflector member comprising a side wall with a reflector surface extending from the side wall. A lighting device support member is coupled to and extends from the side wall and defines at least one channel for engaging a support arm and a fastener channel for engaging a fastener member. The apparatus further includes a lighting device secured to a bracket for coupling the lighting device to the lighting device support member. The bracket defines a support arm for engaging the at least one support arm channel, The lighting device support member positions the lighting device adjacent to the reflector surface. The apparatus also includes a fastener for securing the bracket to the lighting device support member by engaging the fastener channel.

A lighting apparatus, comprising: a reflector member, comprising: a side wall; a reflector surface extending from the side wall; a lighting device support member coupled to and extending from the side wall, the lighting device support member defining at least one channel for engaging a support arm and a fastener channel for engaging a fastener member; a lighting device secured to a bracket for coupling the lighting device to the lighting device support member, the bracket defining a support arm that engages the at least one support arm channel, wherein the lighting device support member positions the lighting device adjacent the reflector surface; and a fastener for securing the bracket to the lighting device support member by engaging the fastener channel. 2. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising: a mounting aperture defined by the side wall, wherein the lighting device support member extends through the mounting aperture. 3. The apparatus of claim 2, further comprising: a second bracket secured to the side wall and coupled to the lighting device support member. 4. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the fastener member further secures the lighting device support member to the second bracket. 5. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the second bracket includes a support arm positioned in the at least one support channel. 6. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the side wall has a first side facing the lighting device and a second side opposite to the lighting device; and wherein the second bracket is coupled to the second side of the side wall. 7. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the at least one channel is disposed longitudinally along the length of lighting device support member; wherein the fastener channel is disposed longitudinally through the length of the lighting device support member; and wherein the lighting device support member comprises a cross section substantially similar to the shape of the mounting aperture, the cross section further defining openings for the at least one channel and for the fastener channel, wherein the cross section is translated over the length of the lighting device support member. 8. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the lighting device and the lighting device support member do not contact the reflector surface. 9. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the lighting device support member provides a heat sink for the lighting device. 10. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the lighting device support member comprises dimensions such that the lighting device is positioned at approximately the center of the reflector member. 11. A lighting apparatus, comprising: Means for reflecting light, comprising: a side wall; a reflector surface extending from the side wall; a lighting device; means for supporting the lighting device coupled to the side wall, the means for supporting the lighting device including a support arm engaging means comprising a first channel and a fastener engaging means comprising a second channel; a securing means comprising a bracket for securing the lighting device to the means for supporting the lighting device, the bracket coupled to the lighting device and the means for supporting the lighting device, wherein the means for supporting the lighting device positions the lighting device adjacent to the reflector surface; at least one support arm extending from the bracket, wherein the support arm engages the support arm engaging means; and a fastening means for fastening the securing means to the supporting means in the first channel, wherein the fastening means engages the fastener engaging means in the second channel. 12. The apparatus of claim 11, further comprising: an aperture for allowing the means for supporting a lighting device to extend through the side wall. 13. The apparatus of claim 12, further comprising: a second bracket for securing the means for supporting the lighting device to the side wall. 14. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the means for supporting the lighting device provides a means for dissipating heat from the lighting device. 15. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the means for supporting the lighting device comprises dimensions such that the lighting device is positioned at approximately the center of the reflector surface. 16. A method for positioning a light in a reflector, comprising: providing a reflector member comprising a side wall and a reflector surface extending from the side wall; coupling a lighting device support member to the side wall, the lighting device support member defining at least one support arm positioning channel and one fastener channel; positioning the lighting device adjacent the reflector surface by coupling to lighting device to a lighting device bracket that is coupled to the lighting device support member, the lighting device bracket having a support arm, the support arm engaging the at least one support arm positioning channel; and fastening the lighting device to the lighting device support member by securing a fastener to the lighting device bracket and the fastener channel, whereby light from the lighting device will be reflected from the reflector surface upon activation of the lighting device. 17. The method of claim 16, wherein the positioning comprises positioning the lighting device at approximately the center of the reflector member. 18. The method of claim 16, further comprising: providing a mounting aperture in the side wall; and extending the lighting device support member through the mounting aperture. 19. The method of claim 16, further comprising: dissipating heat from the lighting device wit the lighting device support member. 20. A lighting apparatus, comprising: a reflector member, comprising: a side wail defining a mountain aperture and comprising a first side and a second side facing the opposite direction of the first side; a reflector surface extending from the first side of the side wall; a lighting device support member coupled to and extending from the side wall through the mounting aperture and defining at least one support channel and a fastener channel; a first bracket secured to the second side of the side wall and coupled to the lighting device support member, wherein the first bracket includes a support arm positioned in the at least one support channel; a lighting device coupled to the lighting device support member and positioned by the lighting device support member adjacent the reflector surface, wherein the lighting device support member comprises dimensions such that the lighting device is positioned at approximately the center of the reflector member; a second bracket secured to the lighting device and coupled to the lighting device support member, wherein the second bracket includes a support arm positioned in the at least one support channel; and a fastener fastened to the first bracket, the second bracket, and the lighting device support member, the fastener engaging the fastener channel.
