A power tool includes a housing assembly having a housing portion and an arm extending upwardly from the housing portion. The arm has an outer surface. The power tool also includes a drive unit supported by the arm. The drive unit is operable to drive a tool element to work on a work piece. The power tool further includes a collection assembly operable to collect debris generated by the tool element working on the work piece. The collection assembly includes a collection chute assembly having an inlet and an outlet. The collection chute assembly is positionable on the arm to define, between the inlet and the outlet, a first path for debris around one side of the outer surface of the arm and a second path for debris around the other side of the outer surface of the arm.

We claim: 1. A power tool comprising: a housing assembly including a housing portion and an arm supported by the housing portion for rotation about an axis, the arm having an outer surface; a drive unit supported by the arm, the drive unit being operable to drive a tool element to work on a work piece, the arm and the drive unit being movable between a raised, non-cutting position and a lowered, cutting position; and a collection assembly operable to collect debris generated by the tool element working on the work piece, the collection assembly including a collection chute assembly having a first chute member positioned on the one side of the arm, and a second chute member positioned on the other side of the arm and connected to the first chute member, the connected first and second chute members being secured to the arm to move with the arm between the non-cutting position and the cutting position during operation of the power tool, the connected first and second chute members defining a wall, an inlet at least partially defined by the wall, an outlet at least partially defined by the wall, a first path, between the inlet and the outlet, for debris around one side of the outer surface of the arm, a second path, between the inlet and the outlet, for debris around the other side of the outer surface of the arm, the first and second paths merging between the arm and the outlet, and an aperture in the wall through which the arm extends, wherein the wall is engaged with the outer surface of the arm about the outer periphery of the arm to inhibit debris from escaping through the aperture. 2. The power tool of claim 1, wherein the first chute member and the second chute member are connected around the arm. 3. The power tool of claim 1, wherein the first chute member cooperates with the outer surface to define the first path and the second chute member cooperates with the outer surface to define the second path. 4. The power tool of claim 3, wherein the chute assembly includes a rib projecting into one of the first path and the second path to affect flow through the one of the first path and the second path. 5. The power tool of claim 4, wherein the rib engages the outer surface of the arm. 6. The power tool of claim 3, wherein the chute assembly includes a first rib projecting into the first path to affect flow through the first path, and a second rib projecting into the second path to affect flow through the second path. 7. The power tool of claim 6, wherein the first rib is provided on the first chute member, and the second rib is provided on the second chute member. 8. The power tool of claim 7, wherein the first rib and the second rib engage the outer surface of the arm. 9. The power tool of claim 1, wherein the wall is an upper wall at least partially defining one of the first and second debris paths, wherein the aperture is a first aperture, wherein the connected first and second chutes further define a lower wall at least partially defining one of the first and second debris paths, and a second aperture in the lower wall through which the arm extends, and wherein the lower wall is engaged with the outer surface of the arm about the outer periphery of the arm to inhibit debris from escaping through the second aperture. 10. The power tool of claim 1, wherein the connected first and second chute members substantially enclose at least a portion of the arm between the inlet and the outlet.
