Provided herein are methods, devices and systems comprising a reactor that is operatively connected to: (a) a biogas production unit for converting waste to a biogas stream; and (b) an engine that utilizes the biogas stream from the biogas producing unit to produce energy and an engine exhaust.

A system comprising a reactor comprising a liquid waste stream inlet and an engine exhaust inlet, the reactor operatively connected to:(a) a biogas production unit constructed so as to convert waste to a biogas stream and a liquid waste stream and comprising a biogas stream outlet and a liquid waste stream outlet connected to the liquid waste stream inlet of the reactor; and(b) an internal combustion engine constructed so as to utilize the biogas stream to produce energy and an engine exhaust including NOx and comprising a biogas stream inlet connected to the biogas stream outlet of the biogas production unit and an engine exhaust outlet connected to the engine exhaust inlet of the reactor;wherein the reactor is constructed so as to generate a treated exhaust with decreased NOx emissions by contacting the engine exhaust with the liquid waste stream from the biogas production unit.
