A power hub apparatus and an associated method of formation, and a system. The power hub apparatus includes a central power hub that encompasses M+1 tiers sequenced in a vertical direction (M>1). The central power hub includes a central area to which N radial arms are connected. Each pair of adjacent radial arms defines a docking bay in each tier such that N docking bays are defined in each tier (N>3). Each docking bay in each tier is vertically aligned directly above a corresponding docking bay in a directly lower tier. Irregular shaped modules are latched in each docking bay in each tier. Each module provides a functionality for responding to an alert pertaining to an event. The central area includes rechargeable batteries that provide electrical power for the latched modules in each tier. The system comprises a micro grid apparatus covered by a solar power skin.

A power hub apparatus comprising a central power hub and irregular shaped modules,wherein the central power hub encompasses M+1 tiers denoted as tier 0, tier 1, . . . , tier M distributed and sequenced in a vertical direction such that each tier is at a different vertical level in the vertical direction, said M at least 1,wherein the central power hub comprises a central area to which N radial arms are connected, said vertical direction being perpendicular to the central area, said N at least 3,wherein each radial arm extends radially outward from the central area in a radial direction that is perpendicular to the vertical direction,wherein each pair of adjacent radial arms defines a docking bay in each tier such that N docking bays are defined in each tier, andwherein each docking bay in tier m is vertically aligned directly above a corresponding docking bay in tier m−1 for m=1, 2, . . . , M to define N vertical tier structures in the central power hub such that each vertical tier structure comprises M+1 docking bays consisting of one docking bay in each tier of the M+1 tiers,wherein the irregular shaped modules consist of an irregular shaped module latched in each docking bay in each tier such that M+1 modules are latched in M+1 corresponding docking bays of each vertical tier structure, each irregular shaped module providing a functionality for responding to an alert pertaining to an event, andwherein the central area comprises a plurality of rechargeable batteries that provide electrical power for the irregular shaped modules latched in the docking bays in each tier.
