After the package is received, a check for conflicts is made, and acceptable components are merged into the local development environment.

A computer system configured for sharing development artifact components, comprising:a memory configured with computer-executable instructions;a processor, coupled with the memory, that executes the instructions for:obtaining in a development environment an identification of a multi-component development artifact to be shared;determining in the development environment a designation of a remote receiver with whom to share components of the multi-component development artifact;and then without further user interaction sharing components of the multi-component development artifact with the remote receiver by automatically locating at least two components of the multi-component development artifact, and sending the located components toward the remote receiver in a package with associated type descriptions.
