A rivet assembly comprising: (a) at least one workpiece having a first outer surface and an opposite second outer surface, a countersink located in each outer surface connected by a hole;(b) a blind rivet comprising a body and a tool-side flange, and a surface of the flange tapering outwardly from the outside surface of the body; and(c) a mandrel comprising an elongated stem and a head, the stem extending through the rivet prior to setting, the head being laterally larger than the stem prior to rivet setting, the head including a lip of axial thickness prior to rivet setting, and an outwardly tapering shoulder spanning between the lip and the stem, the shoulder further comprising first and second different and circumferentially continuous surfaces prior to rivet setting;the head being completely pulled through the rivet during rivet setting without severing the head from the stem of the mandrel;the pulling through of the head during setting causing the blind end of the rivet body to outwardly expand into the adjacent countersink; andthe flange of the rivet being located in the adjacent countersink after rivet setting. 2. The rivet assembly of claim 1, wherein the first surface of the shoulder, located closest to the head of the mandrel, has a greater angle relative to a central mandrel axis as compared to a similarly measured angle of the second surface of the shoulder. 3. The rivet assembly of claim 1, wherein the mandrel is discarded after setting the blind rivet. 4. The rivet assembly of claim 1, wherein the mandrel is attached to the blind rivet body with an interference fit prior to rivet setting and the lip overhangs the shoulder in a stepped manner prior to rivet setting. 5. The rivet assembly of claim 1, wherein the at least one workpiece includes a pair of electrical device components. 6. The rivet assembly of claim 1, wherein the at least one workpiece includes a computer housing. 7. The rivet assembly of claim 1, wherein at least one of the surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel has a frusto-conical, tapered shape. 8. The rivet assembly of claim 1, wherein the first and second surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel include two differently angled and substantially frusto-conical, tapered surfaces. 9. The rivet assembly of claim 1, wherein at least one of the surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel has a curved, tapered shape when viewed from a side of the mandrel. 10. The rivet assembly of claim 1, further comprising an end of the mandrel head opposite the stem includes a concave surface. 11. The rivet assembly of claim 1, further comprising an end of the mandrel head opposite the stem includes a convex surface. 12. The rivet assembly of claim 1, wherein the head of the mandrel inwardly deforms during rivet setting. 13. The rivet assembly of claim 1, wherein the rivet and mandrel have the following relationship before rivet setting: an outside diameter of the mandrel head is equal to or between 3.5 mm and 2.9 mm, and an outside diameter of the blind end of the rivet body is equal to or between 3.08 mm and 2.9 mm. 14. The rivet assembly of claim 1, further comprising a setting tool operably setting the blind rivet to the workpiece from a single side of the workpiece, the setting tool comprising at least one jaw operably pulling the mandrel stem and a nosepiece operably abutting against the tool-side flange, and a piston of the tool operably causing the mandrel to be pulled through the rivet. 15. The rivet assembly of claim 1, wherein the rivet is unsevered during rivet setting. 16. A rivet assembly comprising: (a) a first computer housing member including a substantially frusto-conical depression;(b) at least a second member including a substantially frusto-conical depression, a hole connecting the depressions;(c) a hollow blind rivet comprising a tool end and an opposite blind end; and(d) a mandrel comprising an elongated stem and a laterally enlarged head, the mandrel head including a circumferentially circular lip prior to rivet setting, a shoulder laterally enlarging from the stem to the lip of the mandrel head, the shoulder of the mandrel further comprising at least two differently shaped surfaces in a longitudinally stepped, coaxially positioned and circumferentially circular arrangement prior to rivet setting;the mandrel head outwardly expanding the blind end of the rivet into the adjacent depression during rivet setting;wherein the head of the mandrel is completely pulled through the rivet during rivet setting without severing the head from the stem of the mandrel;the tool end and blind end of the rivet being substantially flush or below flush of a tool-surface and a blind-surface of the members; andthe head of the mandrel deforming and having a reduced lateral cross-sectional area during rivet setting. 17. The rivet assembly of claim 16, wherein the first surface of the shoulder, located closest to the head of the mandrel, has a greater angle relative to a central mandrel axis as compared to a similarly measured angle of the second surface of the shoulder. 18. The rivet assembly of claim 16, wherein the mandrel is discarded after setting the blind rivet. 19. The rivet assembly of claim 16, wherein at least one of the surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel has a frusto-conical, tapered shape. 20. The rivet assembly of claim 16, wherein the surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel include two differently angled and substantially frusto-conical, tapered surfaces. 21. The rivet assembly of claim 16, wherein at least one of the surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel has a curved, tapered shape when viewed from a side of the mandrel. 22. The rivet assembly of claim 16, further comprising an end of the mandrel head opposite the stem includes a concave surface. 23. The rivet assembly of claim 16, further comprising an end of the mandrel head opposite the stem includes a convex surface. 24. The rivet assembly of claim 16, wherein the rivet and mandrel have the following relationship before rivet setting: an outside diameter of the mandrel head is equal to or between 3.5 mm and 2.9 mm, and an outside diameter of the blind end of the rivet is equal to or between 3.08 mm and 2.9 mm. 25. The rivet assembly of claim 16, wherein there is a lateral gap between an outside diameter of the rivet and the hole in the members before rivet setting but not after rivet setting. 26. The rivet assembly of claim 16, wherein the rivet is unsevered during rivet setting. 27. A rivet assembly comprising: a blind rivet comprising a tool end, an opposite blind end, and a rivet body between the ends, the tool end having a greater wall thickness as compared to a wall thickness of the adjacent rivet body, the rivet including a through-bore extending through the entire rivet; anda mandrel comprising a stem and a head, the stem being located in the through-bore of the rivet in an interference fit manner prior to rivet setting, the mandrel head including an axially thickened section adjacent an end thereof which has a circular periphery;the mandrel further comprising a shoulder which laterally enlarges from the stem to the thickened section of the mandrel head;the shoulder of the mandrel further comprising a first surface located adjacent the stem and at least a second and distinct surface located between the first surface and the head, the surfaces of the shoulder being coaxially aligned and each being cross-sectionally circular prior to rivet setting; andthe head of the mandrel being configured for completely pulling through the rivet during rivet setting without severing the head from the stem of the mandrel, the head of the mandrel being configured for deforming during the pulling through, and the rivet being unsevered during rivet setting. 28. The rivet assembly of claim 27, wherein the second surface of the shoulder is closer to perpendicular to a central mandrel axis as compared to the first surface. 29. The rivet assembly of claim 27, further comprising workpieces fastened together by the rivet, the workpieces including a countersink in a blind side thereof and a countersink in a tool side thereof, the ends of the rivet being located in the respective countersinks in a substantially flush or below flush condition after rivet setting. 30. The rivet assembly of claim 27, wherein at least one of the surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel has a frusto-conical, tapered shape. 31. The rivet assembly of claim 27, wherein the first and second surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel include two differently angled and substantially frusto-conical, tapered surfaces. 32. The rivet assembly of claim 27, wherein at least one of the surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel has a curved, tapered shape when viewed from a side of the mandrel. 33. The rivet assembly of claim 27, further comprising an end of the mandrel head opposite the stem includes a concave surface. 34. A rivet assembly comprising: a blind rivet comprising a tool end, an opposite blind end, and a rivet body between the ends, the rivet including a through-bore extending through the entire rivet; anda mandrel comprising a stem and a head, the stem being located in the through-bore of the rivet prior to rivet setting, the mandrel head including a lip of circular cross-sectional shape prior to rivet setting, and a shoulder which laterally enlarges from the stem to lip of the mandrel head prior to rivet setting;the shoulder of the mandrel comprising a first surface located adjacent the stem and at least a second and distinct surface located between the first surface and the lip, the surfaces of the shoulder being coaxially aligned and each being cross-sectionally circular prior to rivet setting, the second surface of the shoulder being closer to perpendicular to a central mandrel axis as compared to the first surface of the shoulder. 36. The rivet assembly of claim 35, further comprising workpieces fastened together by the rivet, the workpieces including a countersink in a blind side thereof and a countersink in a tool side thereof, the ends of the rivet being located in the respective countersinks in a substantially flush or below flush condition after rivet setting. 37. The rivet assembly of claim 35, wherein at least one of the surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel has a frusto-conical, tapered shape. 38. The rivet assembly of claim 35, wherein the first and second surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel include two differently angled and substantially frusto-conical, tapered surfaces. 39. The rivet assembly of claim 35, wherein at least one of the surfaces of the shoulder of the mandrel has a curved, tapered shape when viewed from a side of the mandrel. 40.
