The leash handle of claim 1, wherein the latching surface of the elongated leash attachment member comprises an inclined surface, moving past the latching pin as the elongated leash attachment member is moved into the closed position while deflecting the elongated leash attachment member, andthe elongated leash attachment member is deflected to be released from the closed position.
