A system and method for Context Enhanced Mapping. A request is received from a user over a network for a map comprising an identification of a physical location, and at least one criteria. The physical location is mapped. Spatial, temporal, topical, and social data available to the network relating to the physical location and criteria is retrieved using a global index of data available to the network and prioritized for inclusion based upon the user and context of the request. The map of the physical location and at least some of the retrieved spatial, temporal, topical, and social data is displayed on a user interface.

1. A computing device, comprising: a processor;a storage medium for tangibly storing thereon program logic for execution by the processor, the program logic comprising:logic for displaying a user interface on a display device comprising: logic executed by the processor for displaying a user interface on a display device, the user interface comprising: a first portion comprising a map of a region, the map comprising a visible indication of an identified location; anda second portion comprising a plurality of media representing, at least in part, spatial, temporal, topical, and social data available to a network and associated with the location, and based on a context of a user, the context comprising social criteria, topical criteria and temporal criteria relating to the user;such that each of the plurality of media are user interactive to enable retrieval of additional spatial, temporal, topical, and social data associated with a selected one media of the plurality of media, wherein at least one of the plurality of media is displayed as an electronic billboard, the electronic billboard displaying information associated with the additional spatial, temporal, topical, and social data associated with the selected one media. 2. The computing device of claim 1, wherein the first portion and the second portion are non-overlapping. 3. The computing device of claim 1, wherein the first portion and the second portion are at least partially overlapping. 4. The computing device of claim 1, wherein the first portion and the second portion are completely overlapping. 5. The computing device of claim 1, further comprising: a third portion, the third portion comprising the additional spatial, temporal, topical, and social data associated with the selected one media of the plurality of media, the third portion is at least partially overlapping of at least one of the first portion and the second portion. 6. The computing device of claim 5, wherein the third portion is at least partially overlapping of at least one of the first portion and the second portion. 7. The computing device of claim 5, wherein the third portion is completely overlapping of at least one of the first portion and the second portion. 8. The computing device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of media are based at least in part on information associated with an identity of the user. 9. The computing device of claim 1, wherein the map of the region corresponds to an area surrounding the identified location. 10. The computing device of claim 1, wherein the map of the region corresponds to an exact location. 11. The computing device of claim 1, wherein the selected one media of the plurality of media is displayed as a flip-stack icon, the flip-stack icon displaying the additional spatial, temporal, topical, and social data associated with the selected one media of the plurality of media. 12. The computing device of claim 1, wherein the the context is provided by the user. 13. The computing device of claim 1, wherein the identified location is a physical location. 14. The computing device of claim 1, wherein the identified location is virtual location within a virtual reality environment. 15. The computing device of claim 1, further comprising the plurality of media associated with the location corresponding to both a virtual location within a virtual reality environment and a physical location, the virtual location and physical location both define the identified location. 16. A method, comprising: generating, using a computing device, a first portion comprising a map of a region, the map comprising a visible indication of an identified location; andgenerating, using the computing device, a second portion comprising a plurality of media based at least in part on spatial, temporal, topical, and social data available to a network and associated with the location, and based on a context of a user, the context comprising social criteria, topical criteria and temporal criteria relating to the user;such that each of the plurality of media are user interactive to enable retrieval of additional spatial, temporal, topical, and social data associated with a selected one media of the plurality of media, wherein at least one of the plurality of media is displayed as an electronic billboard, the electronic billboard displaying information associated with the additional spatial, temporal, topical, and social data associated with the selected one media. 17. The method of claim 16, wherein the first portion and the second portion are non-overlapping. 18. The method of claim 16, wherein the first portion and the second portion are at least partially overlapping. 19. The method of claim 16, wherein the first portion and the second portion are completely overlapping. 20. The method of claim 16, further comprising: generating, using the computing device, a third portion, the third portion comprising the additional spatial, temporal, topical, and social data associated with the selected one media of the plurality of media, the third portion is at least partially overlapping of at least one of the first portion and the second portion. 21. The method of claim 20, wherein the third portion is at least partially overlapping of at least one of the first portion and the second portion. 22. The method of claim 20, wherein the third portion is completely overlapping of at least one of the first portion and the second portion. 23. The method of claim 16, wherein the selected one media of the plurality of media is displayed as a flip-stack icon, the flip-stack icon displaying the additional spatial, temporal, topical, and social data associated with the selected one media of the plurality of media. 24. The method of claim 16, wherein the plurality of media are based at least in part on information associated with an identity of the user. 25. The method of claim 16, wherein the context is provided by the user. 26. The method of claim 16, wherein the identified location is a physical location. 27. The method of claim 16, wherein the identified location is virtual location within a virtual reality environment. 28. The method of claim 16, further comprising the plurality of media associated with the location corresponding to both a virtual location within a virtual reality environment and a physical location, the virtual location and physical location both define the identified location.
