When worn by a patient, the permeable surfaces are positioned adjacent the patient's limbs. Warmed pressurized air may be introduced into the duct and conducted to the permeable surfaces. The warmed pressurized air circulates through the permeable surfaces to warm the adjacent limbs.

A method for warming a person preoperatively using a warming device constituted of a clinical garment with a lower hem, an inside, and sleeves, the clinical garment including permeable surfaces along the lower hem and lower inside portions of the sleeves, the method comprising: dressing the person with the clinical garment such that the lower hem is disposed adjacent the legs of the person and the lower inside portions of the sleeves are disposed adjacent the arms of the person,conducting warmed, pressurized air through a duct on the inside of the clinical garment extending along the lower hem, rising inside the clinical garment to the sleeves, and extending inside the sleeves;directing warmed, pressurized air at the legs of the person from the duct, through the permeable surface along the lower hem; and,directing warmed, pressurized air at the arms of the person from the duct, through the permeable surfaces that are disposed along the inside lower portions of the sleeves. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the clinical garment further includes an inlet port opening into the duct, further including receiving a nozzle of a source of warmed, pressurized air in the inlet port. 3. The method of claim 2, wherein each permeable surface includes a plurality of apertures formed therein and directing warmed, pressurized air includes circulating the warmed, pressurized air through the plurality of apertures. 4. The method of claim 2, wherein each permeable surface includes a permeable material and directing warmed, pressurized air includes circulating the warmed, pressurized air through the permeable material. 5. The method of claim 1, wherein each permeable surface includes either a plurality of apertures formed therein or a permeable material and directing warmed, pressurized air includes circulating the warmed, pressurized air through the plurality of apertures or the permeable material. 6. The method of claim 5, wherein the clinical garment further includes an inlet port opening into the duct, further including receiving a nozzle of a source of warmed, pressurized air in the inlet port. 7. A clinical garment for warming a person, comprising: at least three pieces of material joined along corresponding peripheries to form a lower hem, an inside surface, and sleeves, a first piece of material having peripheral permeable sections and a permeable lower hem section;the peripheral permeable sections being double-Z folded and secured to the inside surface to form side ducts, and the permeable lower hem section being secured to the inside surface and over the side ducts to form a duct extending along the lower hem and rising inside the clinical garment to the sleeves; and,at least one inlet port opening into the duct. 8. The clinical garment of claim 7 in which the material is a woven material. 9. The clinical garment of claim 7 in which the material is a non-woven material. 10. The clinical garment of claim 7 in which the at least one inlet port includes a collar of material mounted to an outside of the clinical garment and an opening through the collar into the duct. 11. The clinical garment of claim 7 in which each permeable section includes either a plurality of apertures formed therein or a permeable material. 12. The clinical garment of claim 11 in which the material is a woven material. 13. The clinical garment of claim 11 in which the material is a non-woven material. 14. A clinical garment for warming a person, comprising: at least three pieces of material joined along corresponding peripheries to form a lower hem, an inside surface, and sleeves, a first piece of material having peripheral permeable sections;two elongate permeable sections on the inside of the clinical garment, each near a lower portion of a respective sleeve;the elongate permeable sections being double-Z folded and secured to the inside surface to form portions of a duct in communication with the permeable sections; andat least one inlet port opening into the duct. 15. The clinical garment of claim 14 in which the material is a woven material. 16. The clinical garment of claim 14 in which the material is a non-woven material. 17. The clinical garment of claim 14 in which the at least one inlet port includes a collar of material mounted to an outside of the clinical garment and an opening through the collar into the duct. 18. The clinical garment of claim 14 in which each permeable section includes either a plurality of apertures formed therein or a permeable material. 19. The clinical garment of claim 18 in which the material is a woven material. 20. The clinical garment of claim 18 in which the material is a non-woven material.
