The method of claim 1, wherein said rendered document is a paper publication, and wherein said determining whether access to the electronic document is authorized comprises determining ownership of said paper publication. 8. The method of claim 1, wherein said rendered document is a paper publication, and wherein said determining whether access to the electronic document is authorized comprises determining subscription to said paper publication. 9. The method of claim 1, wherein said determining whether access to the electronic document is authorized comprises determining an association with a mobile phone account. 10. The method of claim 9, wherein said transaction is facilitated via said mobile phone account. 11. The method of claim 1, wherein facilitating the transaction to authorize access to said electronic document comprises facilitating a transaction with a publisher of said electronic document. 12. The method of claim 1, wherein facilitating the transaction to authorize access to said electronic document comprises facilitating a transaction with a copyright holder of said electronic document. 13. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving an electronic payment for facilitating said transaction. 14. The method of claim 13, wherein said electronic payment is received from a third-party. 15. The method of claim 13, wherein said electronic payment is received from a user. 16. The method of claim 1, wherein at least one of said text capture operations comprises capturing an audio clip related to said less than a whole page of text. 17. The method of claim 1, wherein said rendered document comprises an e-book. 18. A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon instructions that, when executed, implement the method of claim 1. 19. A computer apparatus having a processor and a memory containing computer executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, perform the method of claim 1. 20. A computer-implemented method, comprising: receiving, at a capture device, text capture indications corresponding to text capture operations from a rendered document, each text capture operation capturing less than a whole page of text;the capture device identifying at least one of goods and services using text from at least one of the text capture operations; andthe capture device facilitating a transaction related to said at least one of goods and services. 21. The method of claim 20, further comprising the capture device making an electronic payment. 22. The method of claim 21, further comprising the capture device making the electronic payment on behalf of a user. 23. The method of claim 20, wherein said at least one of goods and services comprises a publication. 24. The method of claim 23, wherein said publication was published after said text capture operation. 25. The method of claim 20, wherein said transaction comprises purchasing said at least one of goods and services. 26. The method of claim 20, wherein said at least one of goods and services comprise an advertised product. 27. The method of claim 20, wherein at least one of said text capture operations comprises capturing an audio clip related to said less than a whole page of text. 28. The method of claim 20, wherein said rendered document comprises an e-book. 29. A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon instructions that, when executed, implement the method of claim 20. 30. A computer apparatus having a processor and a memory containing computer executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, perform the method of claim 20. 31. A computer-implemented method, comprising: receiving, at an information-capturing system, a text capture indication corresponding to a text capture operation performed on a rendered document that captured less than a whole page of text;the information-capturing system generating a text entry based upon said text capture indication, wherein the text entry specifies a number of documents matching text of the text capture operation; andthe information-capturing system publishing the text entry. 32. The method of claim 31, further comprising storing said text capture indication. 33. The method of claim 31, further comprising: the information-capturing system, enabling interaction with the text entry; andin response to the interaction, the information-capturing system providing a menu of actions for the text entry. 34. The method of claim 31, wherein publishing the text entry comprises posting at least part of the text entry to at least one of a weblog, wiki, micro-blog, news feed, photo-stream, and a website. 35. The method of claim 34, further comprising enabling selective access to said published text entry. 36. The method of claim 34, further comprising enabling public access to said published text entry. 37. The method of claim 31, wherein said publishing the text entry comprises generating a bibliographic entry. 38. The method of claim 37, further comprising formatting said bibliographic entry according to a citation style. 39. The method of claim 31, further comprising identifying a capture context for said text capture indication, and wherein the text entry includes at least a portion of said capture context. 40. The method of claim 39, wherein said capture context comprises text proximate to the text capture operation in said rendered document. 41. The method of claim 31, further comprising identifying a source document corresponding to said rendered document, and wherein the text entry includes a citation to said source document. 42. The method of claim 31, wherein the text capture operation comprises capturing an audio clip related to said less than a whole page of text. 43. The method of claim 31, wherein said rendered document comprises an e-book. 44. A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon instructions that, when executed, implement the method of claim 31. 45. A computer apparatus having a processor and a memory containing computer executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, perform the method of claim 31. 46. A computer-implemented method, comprising: for each individual entity of a plurality of entities, receiving, at an information-capturing system, a plurality of text capture operations from rendered documents, each indicated text capture operation designating less than a whole page of text as captured;for each individual entity of the plurality of entities, the information-capturing system analyzing the plurality of text capture operations received from the individual entity to determine a likely interest of the individual entity;the information-capturing system identifying a plurality of entities determined to have the likely interest; andthe information-capturing system presenting to a first entity of the identified plurality of entities an indication that another entity of the identified plurality of entities shares the likely interest. 47. A computer-implemented method, comprising: displaying an indication of each of at least some of a plurality of text capture operations from one or more rendered documents using an information-capturing system, each indicated text capture operation designating less than a whole page of text as captured;the information-capturing system receiving input with respect to a distinguished one of the displayed indications; the information-capturing system displaying a menu of actions relating to the distinguished indication;the information-capturing system receiving a selection from the menu of actions; andthe information-capturing system performing an action based on the captured text indicated by the distinguished indication and the selection from the menu of actions. 48. The method of claim 47, wherein displaying the indication of each of the at least some of the plurality of text capture operations comprises displaying the indication of each of the at least some of the plurality of text capture operations using a mobile phone. 49. The method of claim 47, wherein performing the action relative to the text capture operation comprises performing the action relative to the text capture operation using a mobile phone. 50. The method of claim 47, wherein displaying the indication of each of the at least some of the plurality of text capture operations comprises displaying the indication of each of the at least some of the plurality of text capture operations using a selected one of an RSS client application and a micro-blog client application. 51. The method of claim 47, wherein performing said action comprises filling out a form in accordance with said received input. 52. The method of claim 51, further comprising electronically submitting said form. 53. The method of claim 47, wherein performing said action comprises generating a notification of a change in a status of a document related to at least one of said text capture operations. 54. The method of claim 47, wherein performing said action comprises associating materials with the text capture operation. 55. A computer-implemented method, comprising: receiving indications at an information-capturing system, each indication indicating a text capture operation performed from a rendered document designating less than a whole page of text as captured;the information-capturing system storing the received indications;the information-capturing system generating a display based upon the stored indications; andthe information-capturing system sending electronic payment authorizing access to an electronic document comprising text captured by at least one of the performed text capture operations. 56. A computer-implemented method, comprising: receiving, at an information-capturing system, text capture indications corresponding to text capture operations from one or more rendered documents, each text capture operation capturing less than a whole page of text;the information-capturing system storing the received text capture indications;the information-capturing system identifying at least one source document corresponding to at least one of said rendered documents; andthe information-capturing system displaying a list of text capture entries based upon the stored indications, at least one entry including an indication of said at least one source document for text of a text capture operation and a number of documents matching the text. 57. A computer-implemented method, comprising: receiving, at an information-capturing system, a plurality of text capture operations from one or more rendered documents, each indicated text capture operation designating less than a whole page of text as captured;the information-capturing system analyzing the plurality of text capture operations to identify a product or service of likely interest; andthe information-capturing system presenting information related to said identified product or service. 58. The method of claim 57, further comprising facilitating a transaction for purchase of said product or service.
