The cartridge of claim 1 wherein the second mechanical feature consists essentially of a recess having a depth. 8. The cartridge of claim 7 wherein the depth is at least 30/1000 of an inch. 9. The cartridge of claim 7 wherein the depth is at most 100/1000 of an inch. 10. A cartridge that is conditionally activated by a provided activator, the activator comprises a first mechanical feature being one of a first flat, a first recess, and a first protrusion, the cartridge comprising: an electrified projectile operative when not coupled to the cartridge; anda second mechanical feature being one of a second flat, a second recess, and a second protrusion; wherein: the first feature and the second feature do not participate in removal of the cartridge away from the activator;if the first feature interferes with the second feature, the cartridge is positioned a first distance away from the activator thereby inhibiting the activator from activating the cartridge; andif the first feature does not interfere with the second feature, the cartridge is positioned a second distance away from the activator for activation of the cartridge to launch the projectile away from the cartridge. 23. The cartridge of claim 22 further comprising: a percussion fired pyrotechnic propellant for propelling the projectile; anda base to receive a firing pin of the activator for percussion fired activation to propel the projectile; wherein: the base comprises the second feature;if the first feature interferes with the second feature, the base is positioned with respect to the activator to provide excess head space that prohibits the firing pin from striking the base to activate percussion firing; andif the first feature does not interfere with the second feature, the base is positioned with respect to the activator to provide less than excess head space that does not prohibit the firing pin from striking the base to activate percussion firing. 24. The cartridge of claim 22 further comprising a removal structure for cooperating with a provided removing mechanism to move the projectile away from the activator. 25. The cartridge of claim 22 wherein the first feature is symmetric about an axis of symmetry of the cartridge. 26. The cartridge of claim 22 wherein the first feature further comprises: a width boundary zone. 27. The cartridge of claim 22 wherein the first feature is located on any one or more of the following: a surface proximate to a percussion primer of the cartridge;a surface proximate to a contact for a firing current that activates the cartridge;a surface on a base of the cartridge; anda surface proximate to an axis of symmetry of the cartridge. 28. The cartridge of claim 22 wherein the second feature is symmetric about an axis of symmetry of the cartridge. 29. The cartridge of claim 22 wherein the second feature further comprises a width boundary zone. 30.
