A water control fixture for use in a water circulation system includes a housing having a plurality of ports defining a hot water inlet port, a bypass port, and a fixture outlet port, wherein water is dispensed via the fixture outlet port. The water control fixture includes at least one operating valve disposed in the housing for controlling a flow of water from the hot water inlet port to the fixture outlet port, and a bypass valve disposed in the housing for controlling a flow of water through a bypass path between the hot water inlet port and the bypass port. The bypass valve includes a valve unit in the bypass path of the water circulation system that is operable in a closed state, an open state, and a failed state. The valve unit restricts water flow through the bypass path in the closed state, the valve unit allows water flow through the bypass path in the open state, and the valve unit restricts water flow through the bypass path in the failed state. The bypass valve includes a control mechanism in the bypass path of the water circulation system that is used for controlling the operation of the valve unit, wherein water flowing through the bypass path flows past the control mechanism.

A water control fixture for use in a water circulation system comprising: a housing having a plurality of ports defining a hot water inlet port, a bypass port, and a fixture outlet port, wherein water is dispensed via the fixture outlet port;at least one operating valve disposed in the housing for controlling a flow of water from the hot water inlet port to the fixture outlet port; anda bypass valve disposed in the housing for controlling a flow of water through a bypass path between the hot water inlet port and the bypass port, the bypass valve comprising:a valve unit in the bypass path of the water circulation system, the valve unit operable in a closed state, an open state, and a failed state, wherein the valve unit restricts water flow through the bypass path in the closed state, the valve unit allows water flow through the bypass path in the open state, and the valve unit restricts water flow through the bypass path in the failed state; anda control mechanism in the bypass path of the water circulation system, the control mechanism used for controlling the operation of the valve unit, wherein water flowing through the bypass path flows past the control mechanism. 2. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the control mechanism is housed within the valve unit. 3. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the control mechanism comprises a thermally sensitive actuating element. 4. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the control mechanism is controlled based on at least one of a flow switch, a pressure switch, a temperature switch and a manual switch. 5. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the valve unit comprises a check valve having a stopper. 6. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the valve unit includes a hot water inlet configured to communicate with a hot water supply line and a cold water inlet configured to communicate with a cold water supply line, the valve unit allowing water to flow from the hot water inlet to the cold water inlet when the valve unit is operating in the open state. 7. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of ports includes a cold water port configured to be in fluid communication with a cold water supply line, the at least one operating valve controlling a flow of water from the cold water port to the fixture outlet port. 8. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of ports includes a cold water port configured to be in fluid communication with a cold water supply line, the bypass valve controlling a flow of water from the hot water inlet port to the cold water port. 9. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the bypass valve opens to permit a flow of water from the hot water inlet port to the bypass port based on an activation condition. 10. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the bypass valve is thermostatically controlled and controls the flow of water from the hot water inlet port to the bypass port until the temperature of the water at the hot water inlet port is at a preset level. 11. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the control mechanism includes an actuating element received within a bypass path, the actuating element having an actuating body and a rod member, the rod member configured to retract and extend to open and close the bypass path based on a temperature of the water. 12. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the bypass port is configured to be in fluid communication with one of a dedicated return line and a cold water supply line. 13. The water control fixture according to claim 1, further comprising a faucet outlet spout extending from the housing, wherein the fixture outlet port is in fluid communication with the faucet outlet spout. 14. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the housing comprises a chamber in fluid communication with the hot water inlet port and the bypass port, the bypass valve received within the chamber. 15. The water control fixture according to claim 1, wherein the housing represents a faucet and includes at least one handle provided on the housing, the handle being joined to the at least one operating valve to control the flow of water from the hot water inlet port and the fixture outlet port. 16. A water control fixture for use in a water circulation system comprising: a fixture housing having a hot water port configured to communicate with a hot water supply line and a cold water port configured to communicate with a cold water supply line, the housing having a passage permitting recirculating flow between the hot and cold water ports;a valve member operable in a closed state, an open state, and a failed state, wherein the valve member restricts water flow through the passage in the closed state, the valve member allows water flow through the passage in the open state, and the valve member restricts water flow through the passage in the failed state; anda control mechanism for controlling the operation of the valve member. 17. The water control fixture according to claim 16, wherein the control mechanism comprises a thermally sensitive actuating member, disposed within the housing, the thermally sensitive actuating member extending when heated and contracting when cooled. 18. The water control fixture according to claim 16, wherein the control mechanism comprises a thermally sensitive actuating member opening and closing the passage based on a temperature of the thermally sensitive actuating member. 19. The water control fixture according to claim 16, wherein the fixture housing represents a faucet and includes at least one handle provided on the fixture housing, the at least one handle being joined to at least one operating valve to control the flow of water to a fixture outlet port. 20. The water control fixture according to claim 16, wherein the control mechanism is controlled based on at least one of a flow switch, a pressure switch, a temperature switch and a manual switch.
