1. A method for heating a subsurface formation, comprising: applying heat from a plurality of heaters to at least a portion of the subsurface formation by circulating a heat transfer fluid through at least one conduit in each of the heaters; andallowing a portion of at least one of the conduits of at least one of the heaters to move relative to the heater's respective wellhead using one or more sliding seals in the wellhead to accommodate thermal expansion of the conduit. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein applying heat from the plurality of heaters comprises circulating heated heat transfer fluid through at least one conduit in each of the heaters. 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the portion of the conduit that moves relative to a wellhead is insulated. 4. The method of claim 1, further comprising fixing a position of the conduit relative to the wellhead after a significant change in a length of the conduit due to thermal expansion ceases. 5. A method for heating a subsurface formation, comprising: applying heat from a plurality of heaters to the subsurface formation by circulating a heat transfer fluid through at least one conduit in each of the heaters, wherein the heat transfer fluid is provided to, or removed from, the conduit using a fixed conduit in fluid communication with the conduit; andallowing a portion of least one of the conduits of at least one of the heaters to move relative to the fixed conduit using one or more slip joints located between the conduit and the fixed conduit to accommodate thermal expansion of the conduit. 6. The method of claim 5, wherein at least a portion of at least one slip joint comprises at least one fluid seal, wherein the fluid seal is spatially separated from the circulating heat transfer fluid. 7. The method of claim 5, wherein applying heat from the plurality of heaters comprises circulating heated heat transfer fluid through at least one conduit in each of the heaters. 8. The method of claim 5, wherein the portion of the conduit that moves relative to the fixed conduit is insulated. 9. The method of claim 5, further comprising fixing a position of the conduit relative to the fixed conduit after a significant change in a length of the conduit due to thermal expansion ceases. 10. A method for accommodating thermal expansion of a heater in a subsurface formation, comprising: providing heat to a portion of the subsurface formation using a heated heater in the formation; andlifting a portion of the heater out of the formation to accommodate thermal expansion of the heater. 11. The method of claim 10, wherein applying heat from the heaters comprises flowing a heat transfer fluid through the heaters. 12. The method of claim 10, wherein the portion of the heater that moves out of a wellhead is insulated. 13. The method of claim 10, further comprising fixing a position of the heater relative to a wellhead through which the heater passes after a significant change in a length of the heater due to thermal expansion ceases. 14. A system for heating a subsurface formation, comprising: a plurality of heaters positioned in the subsurface formation, the heaters configured to provide heat to at least a portion of the subsurface formation; andat least one hydraulic lifter coupled to a portion of a heater, the hydraulic lifter configured to lift one or more portions of the heater out of the formation to accommodate thermal expansion of the heater by maintaining a hydraulic pressure during thermal expansion of the heater that is approximately the same as a hydraulic pressure before thermal expansion of the heater. 15. The system of claim 14, wherein the plurality of heaters are configured to provide heat to at least the portion of the subsurface formation when a heat transfer fluid is circulated through one or more of the heaters. 16. The system of claim 14, wherein an amount of lift applied by the hydraulic lifter to the heater during use is controlled based a measured strain of the heater. 17. The system of claim 14, wherein the hydraulic lifter is configured to fix a position of a heater relative to a wellhead through which the heater passes after a significant change in a length of the heater due to thermal expansion ceases. 18. The method of claim 1, further comprising allowing another portion of the at least one of the conduits of the at least one of the heaters to move relative to a fixed conduit in fluid communication with the at least one of the conduits, wherein the fixed conduit provides the circulated heat transfer fluid to, or removes the circulated heat transfer fluid from, the at least one of the conduits. 19. The system of claim 14, wherein the heater coupled to the hydraulic lifter comprises a substantially u-shaped heater, and wherein at least one additional hydraulic lifter is coupled to the heater.
