A system and method of monitoring compliance with a hygiene protocol is disclosed. The movement of person within or otherwise associated with a facility may be tracked and hygiene requirements may be imposed based on the movement. In monitoring hygiene compliance, a number of hygiene levels may be defined that are associated with difference hygiene requirements. A hygiene level may be associated with an individual and that level may be raised or lowered based on hygiene related activity associated with the individual. An individual's hygiene level and/or his compliance with multi-level hygiene requirements may be tracked through the use of monitored hygiene stations and/or location tracking stations.

The hygiene compliance method of claim 11, further comprising: in response to the hygiene radius violation, determining if the hygiene protocol allows for toleration of the hygiene radius violation. 13. The hygiene compliance method of claim 12, further comprising: in response to determining that the hygiene protocol does not tolerate the hygiene radius violation, registering a hygiene protocol violation, wherein the hygiene protocol violation indicates that the individual is out of compliance with the hygiene protocol associated with the facility. 14. The hygiene compliance method of claim 13, further comprising: in response to the hygiene protocol violation, registering a zone contamination, wherein the zone contamination includes downgrading the hygiene radius associated with each person located in the hygiene zone occupied by the individual. 15. The hygiene compliance method of claim 12, further comprising: in response to determining that the hygiene protocol tolerates the hygiene radius violation, determining if the hygiene protocol stipulates that the hygiene radius violation will occur after a predetermined time has elapsed following the hygiene radius violation. 16. The hygiene compliance method of claim 15, further comprising: in response to determining that a protocol violation will occur after the predetermined time, determining if the hygiene radius violation has been remediated; andif the predetermined time has elapsed and the hygiene radius violation has not been remediated, registering a hygiene protocol violation;wherein the hygiene protocol violation indicates that the individual is out of compliance with the hygiene protocol associated with the facility. 17. The hygiene compliance method of claim 16, wherein the hygiene radius violation is remediated by a hygiene-related action undertaken by the individual, wherein in response to the hygiene-related activity, the individual's hygiene radius value is raised such that the individual's working radius is no longer greater than the individual's hygiene radius. 18. The hygiene compliance method of claim 15, further comprising: in response to determining that a protocol violation will not occur after a predetermined time, giving a hygiene related instruction to the individual. 19. The hygiene compliance method of claim 11, further comprising: in response to determining that the individual's working radius value is greater than the individual's hygiene radius value, determining if the individual's working radius value is less than the individual's hygiene radius value;in response to determining that the individual's working radius is less than the individual's hygiene radius, determining if the hygiene protocol allows for contingent downgrade of hygiene radius values, wherein if contingent downgrade is not allowed, the individual's hygiene radius value will be immediately downgraded to a value equal to a hygiene level associated with the hygiene zone in which the individual is located, wherein if contingent downgrade is allowed, the individual's hygiene radius will be allowed to remain at a current value, pending an occurrence of a predetermined event. 20.
