The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a quick-release mounting assembly disposed on at least one of said mounting plates. 9. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said frame comprises a cross member and wherein said cross member comprises a mount. 10. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein said mount of said cross member comprises a quick-release tri-pod mount. 11. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said frame comprises a plurality of strap-mounting holes. 12. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said apparatus is foldable to form a compact unit for storage and transport.
