The frame member of claim 2 wherein the predetermined angle is generally equal to 90 degrees. 4. The frame member of claim 2 wherein the first surface and the second surface intersect at a recessed ledge. 5. The frame member of claim 2 wherein the first and second surfaces having edges, and wherein the frame member further comprises a generally arcuate corner interconnecting the edges of the first and second surfaces. 6. The frame member of claim 1 wherein the first surface includes a first groove on a first side of the slot therein, the first groove extending along an axis generally parallel to the axis of the slot in the first surface. 7. The frame member of claim 6 wherein the first surface includes a second groove on a second side of the slot therein, the second groove extending along an axis generally parallel to the axis of the slot in the first surface. 8. The frame member of claim 1 wherein the first converging sidewall is generally perpendicular to the first diverging abutment outer wall and wherein the second converging sidewall is generally perpendicular to the second diverging outer abutment wall. 9. A frame member for a structure, comprising: a generally flat, elongated first surface having an elongated slot therein extending along an axis, the slot being defined by: first and second converging sidewalls, the first and second converging sidewalls lying in corresponding planes which are at acute angles to the surface and having terminal ends;first and second diverging outer abutment walls which extend from the terminal ends of the first and second converging sidewalls and have terminal ends;first and second diverging inner abutment walls extending from the terminal ends of the first and second outer diverging sidewalls toward the surface, the first and second diverging inner abutment walls having terminal ends; anda generally concave terminal wall interconnecting the terminal ends of the first and second diverging inner abutment walls;wherein the first diverging outer abutment wall and the second diverging inner abutment wall lie in generally parallel planes and wherein the second diverging outer abutment wall and the first diverging inner abutment wall lie in generally parallel planes. 11. A frame member for a structure, comprising: an elongated first surface lying in a first plane, an elongated second surface lying in a second plane generally perpendicular to the first plane, an elongated third surface lying in a third plane generally parallel to the first plane and an elongated fourth surface lying in a fourth plane generally perpendicular to the first plane, each surface including an elongated slot therein extending along a corresponding axis, each slot being defined by: first and second converging sidewalls lying in corresponding planes which are at acute angles to the surface in which the slot extends, the first and second converging sidewalls having terminal ends;first and second diverging outer abutment walls which extend from the terminal ends of the first and second converging sidewalls and have terminal ends, the first and second diverging outer abutment walls being non-parallel to the surface in which the slot extends;first and second diverging inner abutment walls extending from the terminal ends of the first and second outer diverging sidewalls toward the surface in which the slot extends, the first and second diverging inner abutment walls having terminal ends; anda terminal wall interconnecting the terminal ends of the first and second diverging inner abutment walls. 12. The frame member of claim 11 wherein the first surface and the second surface intersect at a recessed ledge. 13. The frame member of claim 11 wherein the first, second, third and fourth surfaces are circumferentially spaced about a tubular member. 14. The frame member of claim 13 further comprising: a tubular rim disposed within and concentric with the tubular member; anda plurality of outer spokes extending between the tubular rim and the tubular member, the outer spokes circumferentially spaced about the tubular rim. 15. The frame member of claim 14 further comprising: a central hub rim disposed within and concentric with the tubular rim; anda plurality of inner spokes extending between the central hub and the tubular rim, the inner spokes circumferentially spaced about the central hub. 16. The frame member of claim 11 wherein at least one of the surfaces includes a first groove on a first side of the slot therein, the first groove extending along an axis generally parallel to the axis of the slot in the least one of the surfaces. 17. A frame member for a structure, comprising: a generally flat, elongated first surface having an elongated slot therein extending along an axis, the slot being defined by: first and second converging sidewalls, the first and second converging sidewalls lying in corresponding planes which are at acute angles to the first surface;first and second diverging outer abutment walls, the first diverging outer abutment wall being generally perpendicular to the first converging sidewall and the second diverging outer abutment wall being generally perpendicular to the second converging sidewall; andfirst and second diverging inner abutment walls, the first diverging inner abutment wall being generally perpendicular to the second converging sidewall and the second diverging inner abutment wall being generally perpendicular to the first converging sidewall; wherein the first and second diverging outer abutment walls are non-parallel to the first surface in which the slot extends. 22. The frame member of claim 21 wherein the slot is further defined by a terminal wall interconnecting the first and second diverging inner abutment walls. 23. The frame member of claim 21 further comprising a generally flat, elongated second surface at a predetermined angle to the first surface and having an elongated slot therein extending along an axis, the slot in the second surface being defined by: first and second converging sidewalls, the first and second converging sidewalls lying in corresponding planes which are at acute angles to the second surface;first and second diverging outer abutment walls, the first diverging outer abutment wall being generally perpendicular to the first converging sidewall and the second diverging outer abutment wall being generally perpendicular to the second converging sidewall; andfirst and second diverging inner abutment walls, the first diverging inner abutment wall being generally perpendicular to the second converging sidewall and the second diverging inner abutment wall being generally perpendicular to the first converging sidewall. 24. The frame member of claim 23 wherein the predetermined angle is generally equal to 90 degrees. 25.
