This disclosure provides a system and method for normalizing job properties. In one embodiment, a job manager is operable to identify a property of a job, with the job being associated with an operating environment. The job manager is further operable to normalize the property of the job and present the normalized property of the job to a user.

1. A non-transitory computer-readable medium to provide a job manager, the computer-readable medium having computer-executable instructions thereon to configure a processing device to perform a plurality of operations, the operations comprising: receiving a job property of a job operating on at least one operating environment of a plurality of operating environments, wherein the job property is received in a job scheduling nomenclature of the at least one operating environment, wherein the job scheduling nomenclature of the at least one operating environment is different from a job scheduling nomenclature of at least a second of the plurality of operating environments;identifying a normalization profile associated with the at least one operating environment; andapplying the normalization profile to the received job property, a result of the application being a value associated with the job property, the value being a normalized job property of the job property in a normalized job scheduling nomenclature. 2. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 1, wherein the plurality of operations further comprise receiving a request from a user for the job property and providing the normalized job property to the user. 3. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 2, wherein receiving a request from a user for the job property further comprises receiving an incoming message from the user, and parsing the message into a request object that comprises a request parameter. 4. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 1, wherein identifying a normalization profile further comprises identifying at least one normalization profile from among a plurality of normalization profiles, and wherein a second normalization profile of the plurality of normalization profiles is associated with the at least second operating environment. 5. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 1, the plurality of operations further comprising: receiving a second job property of a job operating on the at least second operating environment, wherein the second job property is received in a job scheduling nomenclature of the at least second operating environment;identifying a second normalization profile associated with the at least second operating environment; andapplying the second normalization profile to the received second job property, a result of the application being a second value associated with the second job property, the second value being a second normalized job property of the second job property in the normalized job scheduling nomenclature. 6. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 5, wherein the job property and the second job property comprise different values and the normalized job property and the second normalized property comprise identical values. 7. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 5, wherein the operating environment and the at least second operating environment execute different job scheduling systems. 8. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 1, wherein the normalization profile is associated with an enterprise wide policy or a customizable policy associated with a user. 9. A method to normalize a job property, the method executed by a processor configured to perform a plurality of operations, the operations comprising: receiving a job property of a job operating on at least one operating environment of a plurality of operating environments, wherein the job property is received in a job scheduling nomenclature of the at least one operating environment, wherein the job scheduling nomenclature of the at least one operating environment is different from a job scheduling nomenclature of at least a second of the plurality of operating environments;identifying a normalization profile associated with the at least one operating environment; andapplying the normalization profile to the received job property, a result of the application being a value associated with the job property, the value being a normalized job property of the job property in a normalized job scheduling nomenclature. 10. The method of claim 9, wherein the plurality of operations further comprise receiving a request from a user for the job property and providing the normalized job property to the user. 11. The method of claim 10, wherein receiving a request from a user for the job property further comprises receiving an incoming message from the user, and parsing the message into a request object that comprises a request parameter. 12. The method of claim 9, wherein identifying a normalization profile further comprises identifying at least one normalization profile from among a plurality of normalization profiles, and wherein at least a second normalization profile of the plurality of normalization profiles is associated with the at least second operating environment. 13. The method of claim 9, wherein the plurality of operations further comprise: receiving a second job property of a job operating on the at least a second operating environment, wherein the second job property is received in a job scheduling nomenclature of the at least second operating environment;identifying a second normalization profile associated with the at least second operating environment; andapplying the second normalization profile to the received second job property, a result of the application being second value associated with the second job property, the second value being a second normalized job property of the second job property in the normalized job scheduling nomenclature. 14. The method of claim 13, wherein the job property and the second job property comprise different values and the normalized job property and the second normalized property comprise identical values. 15. The method of claim 13, wherein the at least one operating environment and the at least second operating environment execute different job scheduling systems. 16. The method medium of claim 9, wherein the at least one normalization profile is associated with one or more of an enterprise wide policy or a customizable policy associated with a user. 17. A system to normalize a job property in an enterprise, the system comprising: a processor configured to: receive a job property of a job operating on at least one operating environment of a plurality of operating environments, wherein the job property is received in a job scheduling nomenclature of the at least one operating environment, wherein the job scheduling nomenclature of the at least one operating environment is different from a job scheduling nomenclature of at least a second of the plurality of operating environments, identify a normalization profile associated with the at least one operating environment, andapply the normalization profile to the received job property, a result of the application being a value associated with the job property, the value being a normalized job property of the job property in a normalized job scheduling nomenclature. 18. The system of claim 17, wherein the processor is further configured to receive a request from a user for the job property and provide the normalized job property to the user. 19. The system of claim 18, wherein the processor configured to receive a request from a user for the job property is further configured to receive an incoming message from the user, and parse the message into a request object that comprises a request parameter. 20. The system of claim 17, wherein identification of a normalization profile further comprises identification of at least one normalization profile from among a plurality of normalization profiles, and wherein a second normalization profile of the plurality of normalization profiles is associated with the at least second operating environment. 21. The system of claim 17, the processor is further configured to: receive a second job property of a job operating on the at least second operating environment, wherein the second job property is received in a job scheduling nomenclature of the at least second operating environment;identify second normalization profile associated with the at least second operating environment; andapply the second normalization profile to the received second job property, a result of the application being a second value associated with the second job property, the second value being a second normalized job property of the second job property in the normalized job scheduling nomenclature. 22.
