Light weight fiber-reinforced polymeric (FRP) structural building panels and panel assemblies, sized and configured for construction of wall structures permanently tied to the ground, optionally tying overlying structure to an underlying wall using such panels and panel assemblies. Fiber schedule and orientation in the panels provide enhanced properties of strength of a panel/wall per unit dimension relative to FRP layer thickness and/or mass of the panel/wall per unit dimension.

1. A fiber-reinforced polymeric load-bearing building panel assembly, said building panel assembly comprising: (a) a building panel, having a top, a bottom, a height between the top and the bottom, and a length, said building panel comprising (i) an outer fiber-reinforced polymeric layer,(ii) an inn
1. A fiber-reinforced polymeric load-bearing building panel assembly, said building panel assembly comprising: (a) a building panel, having a top, a bottom, a height between the top and the bottom, and a length, said building panel comprising (i) an outer fiber-reinforced polymeric layer,(ii) an inner fiber-reinforced polymeric layer, opposing said outer layer and spaced from said outer layer,(iii) a plurality of load-bearing studs spaced from each other along the length of said building panel and extending along the height of said building panel and extending away from said inner layer and away from said outer layer, and(iv) a plurality of channels between said studs, a given such channel having a first closed side at the inner layer, first and second closed ends at adjacent ones of said studs, and a second open side, opposite the first closed side, opening away from said inner layer and away from said outer layer, such that such channel can be accessed through the second open side, and(b) an upper attachment bracket at the top of said building panel, secured to said building panel between adjacent ones of said studs, and having a first bracket panel aligned with the top of said building panel, whereby, with said building panel placed in an upright orientation, supported by a footing, an overlying floor and/or wall structure can be positioned over said building panel, and a respective one of the channels can be accessed through the second open side of such channel for driving mechanical fasteners through the first bracket panel and into the overlying floor and/or wall structure and thereby securing the overlying floor and/or wall structure to the underlying building panel assembly. 2. A load-bearing building panel assembly as in claim 1, further comprising a lower attachment bracket at the bottom of said building panel, secured to said building panel between adjacent ones of said studs, and having a second bracket panel aligned with the bottom of said building panel, whereby the respective channel can be accessed through said second open side of the respective channel at the bottom of said building panel to drive a mechanical fastener through said second bracket panel. 3. A constructed structure comprising a footer, a load-bearing building panel assembly as in claim 2, and a floor and/or wall structure overlying said load-bearing building panel assembly and interfacing with said first bracket panel, said second bracket panel being secured to said footer, at least one mechanical fastener extending through said upper attachment bracket in the respective channel and into at least one of said overlying floor and/or wall structure, thereby providing direct attachment of said overlying floor and/or wall structure to said footer through said building panel assembly. 4. A method of securing overlying floor and/or wall structure of a building to an underlying wall of such building, the underlying wall having a length, a top, and a bottom, the method comprising: (a) emplacing an underlying such wall having a top, a bottom, and a length said underlying wall comprising (i) an outer fiber-reinforced polymeric layer,(ii) an inner fiber-reinforced polymeric layer, opposing the outer layer and spaced from the outer layer, the inner layer having a length extending along the length of the underlying wall and a height between the top and the bottom of the underlying wall,(iii) a plurality of load-bearing studs spaced from each other along the length of the underlying wall, extending along the height of the underlying wall, and extending inwardly into the building from the inner layer,(iv) a plurality of channels being defined between the studs, a given such channel having a first closed side at the inner layer, first and second closed ends at adjacent ones of the studs, and a second open side, opposite the first closed side, open to the interior of the building, such that the channel can be accessed through the second open side, and(v) an upper attachment bracket at the top of the wall, secured to the wall and in a respective one of such channels, a given such upper attachment bracket having a first bracket panel extending perpendicular to the inner layer and aligned with the top of the building panel;(b) positioning overlying floor and/or wall structure, not part of the underlying wall, above the underlying wall;(c) accessing the respective channel, in which a such bracket is secured, through the second open side of the respective channel; and(c) driving one or more mechanical fasteners through the respective first bracket panel and into the overlying floor and/or wall structure, and thereby securing the overlying floor and/or wall structure to the underlying wall. 5. A method of providing direct attachment of an overlying floor and/or wall structure to a footer, comprising securing the overlying floor and/or wall structure to an underlying wall of such building as in claim 4, further comprising providing a lower attachment bracket in a respective one of the channels at the bottom of the wall, accessing the respective channel in which such bracket is secured, through the second open side of the channel, and thereby securing a given such lower attachment bracket, having a second bracket panel aligned with the bottom of the building panel, to both the underlying wall and the footer.
