The perimeter frame encompasses at least the perimeter edge of the glass panel, with no portion of the outer surface of the glass panel encompassed by the perimeter frame such that the outer surface of the glass panel is generally co-planar with an outer surface of the perimeter frame along the periphery of the glass panel. A cover assembly for an appliance, said cover assembly comprising: a glass panel having an outer surface and an inner surface;said glass panel having a perimeter edge extending between said inner surface and said outer surface and along a periphery of said glass panel;at least one attachment element configured for engaging a corresponding structure of the appliance when said cover assembly is disposed at the appliance;a perimeter frame established around the periphery of said glass panel, wherein said perimeter frame is molded or bonded around the periphery of said glass panel to attach said glass panel at said perimeter frame;wherein said perimeter frame encompasses at least said perimeter edge of said glass panel, and wherein no portion of said outer surface of said glass panel is encompassed by said perimeter frame such that said outer surface of said glass panel is generally co-planar with an outer surface of said perimeter frame along the periphery of said glass panel; andwherein at least one of (i) said at least one attachment element is bonded at said inner surface of said glass panel via a layer of cured adhesive and (ii) said at least one attachment element is disposed at said perimeter frame; andwherein, when said cover assembly is disposed at the appliance, said inner surface of said glass panel is exposed to an interior cavity of the appliance when said cover assembly is closed. 2. The cover assembly of claim 1, wherein said perimeter frame is established around the periphery of said glass panel by molding. 3. The cover assembly of claim 1, wherein said perimeter frame is separately formed and is thereafter bonded at said glass panel via a layer of cured adhesive. 4. The cover assembly of claim 1, wherein said perimeter frame encompasses at least a portion of said inner surface of said glass panel. 5. The cover assembly of claim 1, wherein said perimeter frame is bonded via a layer of cured adhesive at at least one of (i) at least a portion of said inner surface of said glass panel and (ii) said perimeter edge of said glass panel. 6. The cover assembly of claim 5, wherein said perimeter frame comprises a polymeric material. 7. The cover assembly of claim 6, wherein said perimeter frame is bonded at said glass panel via a layer of cured adhesive comprising a single component urethane adhesive. 8. The cover assembly of claim 1, wherein said at least one attachment element is bonded at said inner surface of said glass panel via a layer of cured adhesive. 9. The cover assembly of claim 8, wherein said at least one attachment element is bonded at said inner surface of said glass panel at a location spaced and separate from said perimeter frame. 10. The cover assembly of claim 8, wherein said layer of cured adhesive bonds said at least one attachment element at said inner surface of said glass panel without exposure of said bonded attachment element on said outer surface of said glass panel. 11. The cover assembly of claim 8, wherein said at least one attachment element includes a plurality of protrusions extending from a generally planar portion of said at least one attachment element to set a thickness of said layer of cured adhesive between said generally planar portion of said at least one attachment element and said inner surface of said glass panel. 12. The cover assembly of claim 8, further comprising an opaque coating established at least at a mounting area of said glass panel at which said at least one attachment element is bonded. 13. The cover assembly of claim 8, wherein said layer of cured adhesive comprises a two component urethane adhesive. 14. The cover assembly of claim 8, wherein said at least one attachment element comprises at least one metallic attachment element. 15. The cover assembly of claim 14, wherein said at least one metallic attachment element is E-coated. 16. The cover assembly of claim 1, wherein said at least one attachment element is disposed at said perimeter frame. 17. The cover assembly of claim 16, wherein said at least one attachment element is at least one of (i) attached to said perimeter frame, (ii) received in said perimeter frame, (iii) incorporated in said perimeter frame, (iv) integrally formed with said perimeter frame and (v) molded with said perimeter frame. 18. The cover assembly of claim 17, wherein said at least one attachment element comprises a latch element. 19. The cover assembly of claim 1, wherein said at least one attachment element comprises a latch element. 20. The cover assembly of claim 1, wherein said at least one attachment element comprises at least one hinge element configured for mounting to a hinge structure of the appliance to hingedly mount said cover assembly at the appliance. 21. The cover assembly of claim 20, further comprising a second attachment element. 22. The cover assembly of claim 21, wherein said second attachment element comprises a latch element disposed at said perimeter region and configured for engaging a corresponding latch of the appliance to retain said cover assembly in a closed position when said at least one hinge element is mounted to at least one hinge structure of the appliance to mount said cover assembly at the appliance. 23. The cover assembly of claim 22, wherein at least one of (i) said latch element is bonded to said inner surface of said glass panel and (ii) said latch element is disposed at said perimeter frame. 24. The cover assembly of claim 23, wherein said latch element is disposed at said perimeter frame and wherein said latch element is at least one of (i) attached to said perimeter frame, (ii) received in said perimeter frame, (iii) incorporated in said perimeter frame, (iv) integrally formed with said perimeter frame and (v) molded with said perimeter frame. 25. The cover assembly of claim 20, wherein said at least one attachment element comprises a pair of hinge elements spaced apart at said glass panel and configured for mounting to respective hinge structures of the appliance to hingedly mount said cover assembly at the appliance. 26. The cover assembly of claim 20, wherein said perimeter frame comprises a grasping portion that protrudes from a forward perimeter region of said glass panel that is generally opposite where said at least one hinge element is disposed. 27. The cover assembly of claim 26, wherein said grasping portion protrudes at least one of (i) forwardly from said forward perimeter region of said glass panel and (ii) downwardly from said forward perimeter region of said glass panel. 28. The cover assembly of claim 1, wherein said glass panel comprises a generally rectangular-shaped panel with rounded front corners. 29. The cover assembly of claim 1, further comprising an opaque coating established at said perimeter region of said glass panel. 30. The cover assembly of claim 1, wherein said glass panel comprises a substantially transparent glass panel. 31. The cover assembly of claim 1, wherein said glass panel comprises a substantially transparent glass panel. 32. A cover assembly for an appliance, said cover assembly comprising: a glass panel having an outer surface and an inner surface;said glass panel having a perimeter edge extending between said inner surface and said outer surface and along a periphery of said glass panel;at least one hinge element configured for engaging a hinge structure of the appliance to hingedly mount said cover assembly at the appliance;a perimeter frame established around the periphery of said glass panel, wherein said perimeter frame is molded or bonded around the periphery of said glass panel to attach said glass panel at said perimeter frame;wherein said perimeter frame encompasses at least said perimeter edge of said glass panel, and wherein no portion of said outer surface of said glass panel is encompassed by said perimeter frame such that said outer surface of said glass panel is generally co-planar with an outer surface of said perimeter frame along the periphery of said glass panel;wherein at least one of (i) said at least one hinge element is bonded at said inner surface of said glass panel via a layer of cured adhesive and (ii) said at least one hinge element is disposed at said perimeter frame; andwherein said cover assembly comprises a cover for at least one of a washing machine and a dryer; andwherein, when said cover assembly is disposed at the washing machine or dryer, said inner surface of said glass panel is exposed to an interior cavity of the washing machine or dryer when said cover assembly is closed. 36. The cover assembly of claim 35, wherein said perimeter frame is one of (i) established around the periphery of said glass panel by molding and (ii) separately formed and is thereafter bonded at said glass panel via a layer of cured adhesive. 37. The cover assembly of claim 35, wherein said perimeter frame encompasses at least a portion of said inner surface of said glass panel. 38. The cover assembly of claim 35, wherein said perimeter frame comprises a polymeric material. 39. The cover assembly of claim 35, wherein said at least one hinge element is bonded at said inner surface of said glass panel via a layer of cured adhesive, and wherein an opaque coating is established at least at a mounting area of said glass panel at which said at least one hinge element is bonded. 40. The cover assembly of claim 35, wherein said at least one hinge element comprises a pair of hinge elements spaced apart at said glass panel and configured for mounting to respective hinge structures of the appliance to hingedly mount said cover assembly at the appliance. 41. The cover assembly of claim 35, further comprising a latch element disposed at said perimeter region and configured for engaging a corresponding latch of the appliance to retain said cover assembly in a closed position when said at least one hinge element is mounted to at least one hinge structure of the appliance to mount said cover assembly at the appliance, and wherein at least one of (i) said latch element is bonded to said inner surface of said glass panel and (ii) said latch element is disposed at said perimeter frame. 42. The cover assembly of claim 35, wherein said glass panel comprises at least one of (i) a substantially transparent glass panel, (ii) a substantially transparent glass panel and (iii) a tempered glass panel. 43. A cover assembly for an appliance, said cover assembly comprising: a glass panel having an outer surface and an inner surface;said glass panel having a perimeter edge extending between said inner surface and said outer surface and along a periphery of said glass panel;a pair of hinge elements spaced apart at said glass panel and configured for mounting to respective hinge structures of the appliance to hingedly mount said cover assembly at the appliance;wherein said hinge elements are bonded at said inner surface of said glass panel via a layer of cured adhesive;a perimeter frame established around the periphery of said glass panel, wherein said perimeter frame is molded or bonded around the periphery of said glass panel to attach said glass panel at said perimeter frame;wherein said perimeter frame encompasses at least said perimeter edge of said glass panel, and wherein no portion of said outer surface of said glass panel is encompassed by said perimeter frame such that said outer surface of said glass panel is generally co-planar with an outer surface of said perimeter frame along the periphery of said glass panel; andwherein said cover assembly comprises a cover for at least one of a washing machine and a dryer; andwherein, when said cover assembly is disposed at the washing machine or dryer, said inner surface of said glass panel is exposed to an interior cavity of the washing machine or dryer when said cover assembly is closed. 44. The cover assembly of claim 43, wherein said perimeter frame is one of (i) established around the periphery of said glass panel by molding and (ii) separately formed and is thereafter bonded at said glass panel via a layer of cured adhesive. 45. The cover assembly of claim 43, wherein said perimeter frame encompasses at least a portion of said inner surface of said glass panel. 46. The cover assembly of claim 43, wherein an opaque coating is established at least at a mounting area of said glass panel at which said hinge elements are bonded. 47. The cover assembly of claim 43, further comprising a latch element disposed at said perimeter region and configured for engaging a corresponding latch of the appliance to retain said cover assembly in a closed position when said hinge elements are mounted to respective hinge structures of the appliance to mount said cover assembly at the appliance, and wherein at least one of (i) said latch element is bonded to said inner surface of said glass panel and (ii) said latch element is disposed at said perimeter frame. 48. The cover assembly of claim 43, wherein said glass panel comprises a substantially transparent glass panel.
