A media processor, comprising: a memory to store computer instructions; anda controller coupled with the memory, wherein the controller, responsive to executing the computer instructions, performs operations comprising:detecting a first viewing apparatus and a second viewing apparatus according to signals transmitted to the media processor;responsive to the detecting, retrieving identifiers for the first viewing apparatus and the second viewing apparatus respectively;performing a validation process for the first viewing apparatus and the second viewing apparatus by comparing the identifiers with a database of known identifiers stored in the media processor;responsive to validating the identifiers, determining whether a transition to a media presentation scheme including a time division multiplexing scheme or a space division multiplexing scheme is required, in accordance with determining a previous configuration of the media processor and in accordance with the media presentation scheme being compatible with the first viewing apparatus and the second viewing apparatus, wherein the media presentation scheme comprises presenting multiple instances of media content with overlapping presentation schedules simultaneously;responsive to determining that the transition is required, providing a message indicating a required use of one of the first viewing apparatus or the second viewing apparatus to continue viewing the media content;causing a presentation device to present a three dimensional media program in the time division multiplexing scheme or the space division multiplexing scheme, wherein the time division multiplexing scheme presents images of the three dimensional media program in a first periodic time slot of a group of periodic time slots,wherein the space division multiplexing scheme presents left eye images and right eye images in alternating pixel rows or columns,wherein the first viewing apparatus is configured to the time division and space division multiplexing schemes by being synchronized to the first periodic time slot and having left and right lenses that are respectively polarized to the alternating pixel rows or columns to enable viewing of the three dimensional media program, andwherein the first viewing apparatus comprises a device to control media program selection or to control light intensity produced by the presentation device; andcausing the presentation device to present another media program that overlaps in time with the presentation of the three dimensional media program by presenting other images of the other media program in a second periodic time slot of the group of periodic time slots, wherein the other media program is viewable by the second viewing apparatus that has shuttered lenses that are synchronized to the second periodic time slot. 2. The media processor of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise: receiving from the first viewing apparatus a request for service, wherein the request for service includes the identifier;rejecting the request for service responsive to detecting that the identifier is invalid; andaccepting the request for service responsive to detecting that the identifier is valid. 3. The media processor of claim 2, wherein the operations further comprise: detecting that the identifier is associated with a service provider that differs from a service provider of the media processor; andrejecting the request for service. 4. The media processor of claim 1, further comprising a radio frequency identification detector operable to receive the identifier of the first viewing apparatus from a radio frequency identification device, where the radio frequency identification device is embedded in the first viewing apparatus. 5. The media processor of claim 4, wherein the operations further comprise enabling media services for the first viewing apparatus responsive to detecting the identifier of the first viewing apparatus by way of the radio frequency identification detector. 6. The media processor of claim 1, further comprising an imaging sensor, and wherein the operations further comprise detecting from an image captured by the imaging sensor a utilization of the first viewing apparatus. 7. The media processor of claim 6, wherein the operations further comprise enabling media services for the first viewing apparatus responsive to the detected utilization. 8. The media processor of claim 1, wherein the first viewing apparatus comprises an audio system, and wherein the operations further comprise receiving from the first viewing apparatus a speech command detected by the audio system. 9. The media processor of claim 8, wherein the operations further comprise enabling media services for the first viewing apparatus responsive to the detected speech command. 10. The media processor of claim 9, wherein the operations further comprise enabling media services for the first viewing apparatus according to a speech command, a user login included in the speech command, a password included in the speech command, or any combination thereof. 11. The media processor of claim 1, wherein the first viewing apparatus transmits an autonomous signal to the media processor responsive to a change in a mechanical state of the viewing apparatus or a motion detected by the viewing apparatus, and wherein the operations further comprise detecting the viewing apparatus according to the autonomous signal. 12. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, comprising instructions which, responsive to being executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising: detecting a first viewing apparatus and a second viewing apparatus according to signals received by a media processor;responsive to the detecting, retrieving identifiers for the first viewing apparatus and the second viewing apparatus respectively;performing a validation process for the first viewing apparatus and the second viewing apparatus by comparing the identifiers with a database of known identifiers stored in the media processor;responsive to validating the identifiers, determining whether a transition to a media presentation scheme including a time division multiplexing scheme or a space division multiplexing scheme is required, in accordance with determining a previous configuration of the media processor and in accordance with the media presentation scheme being compatible with the first viewing apparatus and the second viewing apparatus, wherein the media presentation scheme comprises presenting multiple instances of media content with overlapping presentation schedules simultaneously;responsive to determining that the transition is required, providing a message indicating a required use of one of the first viewing apparatus or the second viewing apparatus to continue viewing the media content;causing a presentation device to present a three dimensional media program in the time division multiplexing scheme or the space division multiplexing scheme, wherein the time division multiplexing scheme presents images of the three dimensional media program in a first periodic time slot of a group of periodic time slots,wherein the space division multiplexing scheme presents left eye images and right eye images in alternating pixel rows or columns,wherein the first viewing apparatus is configured to the time division and space division multiplexing schemes by being synchronized to the first periodic time slot and having left and right lenses that are respectively polarized to the alternating pixel rows or columns to enable viewing of the three dimensional media program, andwherein the first viewing apparatus comprises a device to control media program selection or to control light intensity produced by the presentation device; andcausing the presentation device to present another media program that overlaps in time with the presentation of the three dimensional media program by presenting other images of the other media program in a second periodic time slot of the group of time slots, wherein the other media program is viewable by the second viewing apparatus that has shuttered lenses that are synchronized to the second periodic time slot. 13. The non-transitory storage medium of claim 12, wherein the operations further comprise: detecting the first viewing apparatus having shuttered lenses that are oppositely polarized, wherein the causing of the presentation device to present the three dimensional media program is responsive to the detecting of the first viewing apparatus;detecting a presentation of the other images of the other media program by way of the presentation device that is not according to a time division multiplexing scheme; andcausing the presentation device to transition the presentation of the other images to the time division multiplexing scheme in the second periodic time slot responsive to a detecting of the second viewing apparatus. 14. The non-transitory storage medium of claim 13, wherein the operations further comprise transitioning an ambient audio presentation associated with the other images to a private audio presentation associated with the other images. 15. The non-transitory storage medium of claim 14, wherein the operations further comprise transmitting to the second viewing apparatus an audio signal representative of the private audio presentation. 16. The non-transitory storage medium of claim 15, wherein the operations further comprise managing a user interface presented to the first viewing apparatus. 17. The non-transitory storage medium of claim 12, wherein the first viewing apparatus further comprises a channel selection button for changing channels that present content via the first periodic time slot and the alternating pixel rows or columns. 18. A method, comprising: detecting, by a system including a media processor, a first viewing apparatus and a second viewing apparatus each having shuttered lenses that are oppositely polarized;responsive to the detecting, retrieving by the system identifiers for the first viewing apparatus and the second viewing apparatus respectively;performing, by the system, a validation process for the first viewing apparatus and the second viewing apparatus by comparing the identifiers with a database of known identifiers stored in the media processor;responsive to validating the identifier, determining by the system whether a transition to a media presentation scheme including a time division multiplexing scheme or a space division multiplexing scheme is required, in accordance with determining a previous configuration of the media processor and in accordance with the media presentation scheme being compatible with the first viewing apparatus and the second viewing apparatus, wherein the media presentation scheme comprises presenting multiple instances of media content with overlapping presentation schedules simultaneously,responsive to determining that the transition is required, providing by the system a message indicating a required use of one of the first viewing apparatus or the second viewing apparatus to continue viewing the media content; andcausing, by the system, a presentation device to present three dimensional media programs in the time division multiplexing scheme or the space division multiplexing scheme responsive to the detecting, wherein the time division multiplexing scheme presents images of the three dimensional media program in a first periodic time slot and a second periodic time slot of a group of periodic time slots,wherein the first viewing apparatus and the second viewing apparatus are configured to the time division multiplexing scheme and the space division multiplexing scheme by being synchronized to the first periodic time slot and the second periodic time slot respectively and having left and right lenses that are respectively polarized to different pixels to enable viewing of the three dimensional media programs, andwherein the first viewing apparatus comprises a device to control media program selection or to control light intensity produced by the presentation device. 19. The method of claim 18, wherein the space division multiplexing scheme presents left eye images and right eye images in the different pixels comprising alternating pixel rows or columns. 20. The method of claim 18, wherein a radio frequency identification device is embedded in the viewing apparatus, and further comprising detecting the viewing apparatus by transmitting a first radio frequency signal to the viewing apparatus to prompt the radio frequency identification device to generate a second radio frequency signal.
