A device and method to organize a plurality of toothbrushes to promote sanitary toothbrush drying and storing. This device allows the user to insert a toothbrush into the holder after use. The user will align the bristles of the toothbrush so that the bristle portion of the brush is facing down and plumb relative the horizon to allow the toothbrush to air-dry. The holder can be configured with multiple receiver members to store multiple toothbrushes while preventing cross-contamination. One embodiment features a toothbrush holder affixed to a wall while a second embodiment features a freestanding toothbrush holder. This device may also incorporate a cup holder, or a loop portion with an aperture disposed therein. The base of the holder may take various shapes and sizes. The holder may be flush-mounted, or may feature a mounting offset between the mounted surface and the receiver plate to aid in securing the toothbrush.

The toothbrush holder of claim 1 further comprising a loop portion and an aperture wherein said aperture is disposed within said loop portion and wherein said loop portion is integrally formed with said receiver plate. 3. The toothbrush holder of claim 1 further comprising a plurality of receiver members disposed within said receiver plate such that when mounted, the toothbrushes inserted in said receiver members will not overlap to prevent water from dripping from one toothbrush onto another. 4. The toothbrush holder of claim 1 wherein said receiver plate is integrally formed with said base. 5. The toothbrush holder of claim 1 wherein said receiver port is positioned on the basal side, relative to the horizon, of said receiver member. 6. The toothbrush holder of claim 1 further comprising a loop portion and an aperture wherein said aperture is disposed within said loop portion and wherein said loop portion is attached to said receiver plate. 7. The toothbrush holder of claim 1 further comprising a loop portion and an aperture wherein said aperture is disposed within said loop portion and wherein said loop portion is integrally formed with said receiver plate. 8. The toothbrush holder of claim 1 further comprising a plurality of receiver members disposed within said receiver plate such that when mounted, the toothbrushes inserted in said receiver members will not overlap to prevent water from dripping from one toothbrush onto another. 9. The toothbrush holder of claim 1 wherein said mounting surface of said base fixedly engages a surface. 10. The toothbrush holder of claim 1 wherein said mounting surface of said base removably engages a surface such that the toothbrush holder is detachable. 11. The toothbrush holder of claim 1 wherein said receiver member gravitationally positions the handle of an inserted toothbrush such that the bristles rest at plumb relative to the horizon.
