A dispenser has a body defining with a variable-volume storage chamber for storing product. A compression chamber is in fluid communication with the storage chamber for receiving substance therefrom A one-way valve of the dispenser includes valve seat and flexible valve cover seated on the valve seat and defining a normally-closed seam therebetween forming a fluid-tight seal between the valve cover and valve seat. The flexible valve cover is movable relative to the valve seat to allow the passage of substance through the seam and out of the dispenser. A manually-engageable actuator connected to the dispensing portion is movable between first and second positions to dispense substance within the compression chamber out of the dispenser.

A dispensing tip as defined in claim 1, in combination with a dispenser comprising: a body including a variable-volume storage chamber for storing substance;a compression chamber coupled in fluid communication with the storage chamber for receiving substance therefrom; anda manually-engageable actuator mounted on the dispenser and including a manually engageable surface on an external side of the actuator and a compression surface on an internal side of the actuator, wherein the manually engageable surface is manually depressible between first and second positions to actuate the dispenser, and is normally biased in the direction from the second position toward the first position;wherein the one-way valve is connectable in fluid communication with the compression chamber; andwherein (i) during movement of the manually engageable surface in a direction from the second position toward the first position, the variable-volume storage chamber is in fluid communication with the compression chamber for permitting substance to flow from the variable-volume storage chamber into the compression chamber, and (ii) during movement of the manually engageable surface in a direction from the first position toward the second position (a) the compression chamber is not in fluid communication with the variable-volume storage chamber and (b) the substance within the compression chamber is pressurized above the one-way valve opening pressure and dispensed through the normally closed seam of the one-way valve and out of the dispenser. 3. A dispensing tip and dispenser combination as defined in claim 2, wherein the compression surface is defined by one of (i) a piston located on the interior side of the actuator, and (ii) an interior wall of the actuator. 4. A dispensing tip and dispenser combination as defined in claim 2, wherein the actuator includes a spring that biases the actuator in the direction from the second position toward the first position. 5. A dispensing tip and dispenser combination as defined in claim 4, wherein the spring is formed integral with the actuator. 6. A dispensing tip and dispenser combination as defined in claim 5, wherein the actuator is formed of an elastic material and the spring is defined by a wall of the elastic actuator. 7. A dispensing tip and dispenser combination as defined in claim 2, wherein the variable-volume storage chamber is defined by one of (i) a flexible member; and (ii) a piston or plunger slidingly received within the body. 8. A dispensing tip and dispenser combination as defined in claim 2, wherein the actuator is approximately dome shaped. 10. A dispensing tip as defined in claim 1, wherein the flexible valve cover is responsive to a flow of substance at an inlet to the valve exceeding a valve opening pressure to move between (i) a normally-closed closed condition, and (ii) an open condition wherein portions of the valve cover spaced relative to each other substantially sequentially move substantially outwardly relative to the valve seat to allow the passage of substance through the seam. 11. A dispensing tip as defined in claim 1, wherein the valve cover defines a decreasing cross-sectional thickness in a direction from an upstream end toward a downstream end of the seam. 12. A dispensing tip as defined in claim 1, wherein the valve seat, valve cover and seam are axially extending. 13. A dispensing tip for a dispenser comprising: a one-way valve forming an external portion of the dispenser including a valve seat and a flexible valve cover seated on the valve seat and defining a normally-closed seam therebetween forming a fluid-tight seal between the valve cover and valve seat, wherein the flexible valve cover is movable relative to the valve seat to allow the passage of substance through the seam and out of the dispenser;wherein an end portion of the valve cover at least one of (i) extends outwardly past an end face of the valve seat at an interface between the valve cover and the valve seat and (ii) extends radially inwardly over an end face of the valve seat. 14. A dispensing tip as defined in claim 13, wherein the valve seat, valve cover and seam are axially extending. 15. A dispensing tip as defined in claim 13, wherein the valve cover covers a substantial portion of the end face of the valve seat. 16.
