A system and method of producing both loose cellulose insulation and bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products utilizing shredded paper particles, including making shredded paper particles in a shredded paper particle line and diverting a portion of the shredded paper particles to a bonded fiber/cellulose product line whereby the shredded paper particle line forms an in-process production and delivery of shredded paper particles to the bonded fiber/cellulose product line. Moisture is added to the shredded paper particles at the bonded fiber/cellulose product line, and bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products are produced with the bonded fiber/cellulose product line from the diverted portion of shredded paper particles and loose cellulose insulation is produced from shredded paper particles that are not diverted from the shredded paper particle line.

A method of producing both loose cellulose insulation and bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products utilizing shredded paper particles comprising: making shredded paper particles in a shredded paper particle line, said making shredded paper particles including shredding paper to form shredded paper particles;diverting a portion of the shredded paper particles from the shredded paper particle line to a bonded fiber/cellulose product line wherein the shredded paper particle line forms an in-process production and delivery of shredded paper particles to the bonded fiber/cellulose product line;adding moisture to the shredded paper particles received from the shredded paper particle line at the bonded fiber/cellulose product line;producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products with the bonded fiber/cellulose product line from the diverted portion of shredded paper particles after said adding moisture to the shredded paper particles received from the shredded paper particle line; andproducing loose cellulose insulation from shredded paper particles that are not diverted from the shredded paper particle line. 2. The method according to claim 1, further including providing bonding materials to the bonded fiber/cellulose product line, and wherein said adding moisture at the bonded fiber/cellulose product line comprises adding moisture to the shredded paper particles and bonding materials. 3. The method according to claim 2, further including blending the shredded paper particles received from the shredded paper particle line with bonding materials, and wherein said adding moisture to the shredded paper particles occurs prior to said blending the shredded paper particles received from the shredded paper particle line with the bonding materials. 4. The method according to claim 1, wherein said bonded fiber/cellulose product line includes metering devices, and wherein said diverting includes providing the shredded paper particles to a metering device, and wherein said method further comprises providing bonding materials to another metering device. 5. The method according to claim 4, wherein said bonded fiber/cellulose product line further includes a first conveyor, and wherein controlled amounts of shredded paper particles and bonding materials are deposited onto said first conveyor from respective ones of said metering devices. 6. The method according to claim 5, wherein said adding moisture comprises adding moisture to the shredded paper particles and bonding materials on said first conveyor. 7. The method according to claim 1, wherein said diverting includes pneumatically transferring the shredded paper particles to the bonded fiber/cellulose product line. 8. The method according to claim 1, wherein the bonded fiber/cellulose product line includes an agitator and wherein said diverting includes delivering the shredded paper particles from the shredded paper particle line to the agitator of the bonded fiber/cellulose product line to maintain the shredded paper particles in an aerated condition prior to producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products. 9. The method according to claim 8, wherein the agitator is combined with a metering and weighing device. 10. The method of claim 1, wherein said making shredded paper particles further includes adding fire retardant material in the shredded paper particle line. 11. The method of claim 1, wherein said producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products further includes adding fire retardant material in the bonded fiber/cellulose product line. 12. The method of claim 1, wherein said making shredded paper particles includes making the shredded paper particles with a substantially known quality of paper; and said producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products includes controlling the amount and/or type of bonding materials utilized as part of said producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products based on the substantially known quality of paper in the shredded paper particles. 13. The method according to claim 1, wherein said producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products comprises providing bonding materials and blending a controlled amount of the diverted portion of the shredded paper particles with a controlled amount of the bonding materials. 14. The method according to claim 13, further comprising mixing measured amounts of the previously blended shredded paper particles and bonding materials to form a mixture comprising controlled amounts of shredded paper particles and bonding materials. 15. The method according to claim 14, wherein said producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products includes forming a batt from a controlled amount of the mixture, heating the batt, and compressing the heated batt to form a bonded fiber/cellulose insulation product. 16. The method according to claim 1, wherein said bonded fiber/cellulose product line includes a forming station for producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products, and wherein said producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products further comprises providing bonding materials at said bonded fiber/cellulose product line, forming a batt from a controlled amount of shredded paper particles and bonding materials, heating the batt, and compressing the heated batt to form a bonded fiber/cellulose insulation product. 17. The method according to claim 1, wherein the shredded paper particle line includes a first shredding operation and a second shredding operation, and wherein said making shredded paper particles includes pre-shredding paper at the first shredding operation to form pre-shredded paper, delivering the pre-shredded paper to the second shredding operation, and fiberizing the pre-shredded paper at the second shredding operation to form shredded paper particles. 18. The method according to claim 17, wherein said first shredding operation comprises a hammer-mill, and wherein said pre-shredding paper at the first shredding operation includes pre-shredding paper with the hammer-mill. 19. The method according to claim 17, wherein said second shredding operation comprises a refiner, and wherein said fiberizing at the second shredding operation includes fiberizing the pre-shredded paper in the refiner. 20. The method according to claim 1, wherein less than all of the shredded paper particles made at the shredded paper particle line are diverted to the bonded fiber/cellulose product line. 21. The method according to claim 1, wherein said making shredded paper particles includes adding moisture in the shredded paper particle line to form moistened shredded paper particles, and wherein said diverting comprises diverting a portion of the moistened shredded paper particles from the shredded paper particle line to the bonded fiber/cellulose product line. 22. A method of producing both loose cellulose insulation and bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products utilizing shredded paper particles comprising: making shredded paper particles in a shredded paper particle line, wherein said making shredded paper particles includes adding fire retardant material in the shredded paper particle line;diverting a portion of the shredded paper particles from the shredded paper particle line to a bonded fiber/cellulose product line wherein the shredded paper particle line forms an in-process production and delivery of shredded paper particles to the bonded fiber/cellulose product line;providing bonding materials to the bonded fiber/cellulose product line;adding moisture to at least one of the shredded paper particles received from the shredded paper particle line or bonding materials at the bonded fiber/cellulose product lineproducing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products with the bonded fiber/cellulose product line from the diverted portion of shredded paper particles and bonding materials; andproducing loose cellulose insulation from shredded paper particles that are not diverted from the shredded paper particle line. 23. The method of claim 22, wherein the shredded paper particle line includes a first shredding operation and a second shredding operation, and wherein said making shredded paper particles comprises pre-shredding paper at said first shredding operation and fiberizing the pre-shredded paper at said second shredding operation. 24. The method of claim 22, wherein said diverting includes pneumatically transferring the shredded paper particles to the bonded fiber/cellulose product line. 25. The method according to claim 22, wherein said adding moisture comprises adding moisture to both the shredded paper particles received from the shredded paper particle line and the bonding materials. 26. The method according to claim 23, further including blending the shredded paper particles received from the shredded paper particle line with the bonding materials, and wherein said adding moisture occurs prior to said blending of the shredded paper particles with bonding materials. 27. A system for producing both loose cellulose insulation and bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products comprising: a shredded paper product line for producing shredded paper particles, said shredded paper product line including a paper shredder and a packaging station;a transfer system; anda bonded fiber/cellulose product line for producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products, said bonded fiber/cellulose product line having an input and being operatively connected to said shredded paper product line at said input whereby said bonded fiber/cellulose product line receives shredded paper particles produced at said shredded paper product line, said bonded fiber/cellulose product line operatively applying moisture to shredded paper particles received from said shredded paper product line prior to producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products;said transfer system being operable (1) to transport shredded paper particles from said shredded paper product line to said input of said bonded fiber/cellulose product line whereat the shredded paper particles are used to produce bonded/fiber cellulose insulation products and/or (2) to transport shredded paper particles to said packaging station whereat the shredded paper particles are packaged as loose cellulose insulation. 28. The system of claim 27, wherein said transfer system includes a fan, said fan being operable to pneumatically transport shredded paper particles to said packaging station and said input of said bonded fiber/cellulose product line. 29. The system of claim 27, wherein said bonded fiber/cellulose product line includes a forming station for producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products, and wherein said bonded fiber/cellulose product line operatively applies moisture to the shredded paper particles prior to said forming station. 30. The method according to claim 22, wherein the bonded fiber/cellulose product line includes an agitator and wherein said diverting includes delivering the shredded paper particles from the shredded paper particle line to the agitator of the bonded fiber/cellulose product line to maintain the shredded paper particles in an aerated condition prior to producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products. 31. The method according to claim 27, wherein the bonded fiber/cellulose product line includes an agitator and wherein said diverting includes delivering the shredded paper particles from the shredded paper particle line to the agitator of the bonded fiber/cellulose product line to maintain the shredded paper particles in an aerated condition prior to producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products. 32. A method of producing both loose cellulose insulation and bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products utilizing shredded paper particles comprising: making shredded paper particles in a shredded paper particle line, said making shredded paper particles including shredding paper to form shredded paper particles;diverting a portion of the shredded paper particles from the shredded paper particle line to a bonded fiber/cellulose product line wherein the shredded paper particle line forms an in-process production and delivery of shredded paper particles to the bonded fiber/cellulose product line;producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products with the bonded fiber/cellulose product line from the diverted portion of shredded paper particles received from the shredded paper particle line, wherein the bonded fiber/cellulose product line includes an agitator and wherein said diverting includes delivering the shredded paper particles from the shredded paper particle line to the agitator of the bonded fiber/cellulose product line to maintain the shredded paper particles in an aerated condition prior to producing bonded fiber/cellulose insulation products; andproducing loose cellulose insulation from shredded paper particles that are not diverted from the shredded paper particle line.
