Provided is a compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel system comprising a frame, a first container, a second container, a first manifold, a second manifold, and a casing. The frame may have: a first side; a first connecting member; and a second side. The first container may be configured to house or contain CNG and be engaged to and substantially shrouded by the first side of the frame. The second container may be configured to house or contain CNG and be engaged to and substantially shrouded by the second side of the frame. The first manifold may be engaged to and substantially shrouded by the first side of the frame. The second manifold may be engaged to and substantially shrouded by the second side of the frame. The casing may at least partially surround the frame, the first container, the first manifold, and the second manifold.

A compressed natural gas fuel system intended to fuel a vehicle engine, the compressed natural gas fuel system capable of being mounted to a vehicle, comprising: a frame assembly having a first side, a second side, and a connecting member; the first side and the second side, each side at least partly defined by a respective support member each support member having a base plate, anda connector plate engaged to the base plate,the connecting member having a first end engaged to the first side, anda second end having an offset from and facing opposite from the first end engaged to the second side,a first container and a second container each configured to house compressed natural gas, and engaged to and substantially be shrouded by the at least one of the first side or the second side of the frame assembly; anda first manifold and a second manifold, each engaged to and substantially shrouded by the frame assembly. 2. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 1, further comprising: each side is at least partly defined by a respective shroud;a cavity is defined between the shroud and the support member; andthe shroud comprises an internal surface; andan external surface. 3. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 2, wherein the connecting member is elongated in a direction defined by the offset of the second end from the first end. 4. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 3, wherein the each support member further comprises an edge plate engaged to the connector plate; oran edge plate engaged to the base plate. 5. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 4, wherein each support member further comprises an additional edge plate offset from the edge plate, wherein the additional edge plate is engaged to the connector plate; orengaged to the base plate. 6. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 5, wherein the shroud is engaged to the connector plate; orto edge plate; orto additional edge plate. 7. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 6, wherein for each support member, the connector plate, the edge plate, the shroud, and the additional edge plate together define a closed loop around the cavity and the connector plate is substantially perpendicular to the base plate. 8. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 7, wherein for each support member, the edge plate is substantially perpendicular to the connector plate; orsubstantially perpendicular to the base plate. 9. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 8, wherein for each support member the additional edge plate is substantially perpendicular to the connector plate; orsubstantially perpendicular to the base plate. 10. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 9, wherein the each external surface defines a depression therein. 11. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 10, wherein each depression is sufficient in size and shape to substantially shroud the first manifold or the second manifold therein. 12. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 1, wherein the first manifold comprises: a fast-fill port being in fluid communication with said first container, andadapted to receive compressed natural gas at a first rate;a fill port being in fluid communication with said first container, andadapted to receive compressed natural gas at a second rate, wherein the second rate is less than the first rate;a fuel transfer port being in fluid communication with said first container, andadapted to transfer compressed natural gas; anda transfer valve configured to regulate the fluid communication of the fuel transfer port; and wherein said second manifold comprises a fast-fill port being in fluid communication with said second container, andadapted to receive compressed natural gas;a fill port being in fluid communication with said first container, andadapted to receive compressed natural gas at a second rate, wherein the second rate is less than the first rate. 13. The compressed natural gas fuel system of claim 12, further comprising a pressure relief device adapted to be temperature activated. 14. A vehicle comprising, an engine;a vehicle chassis; anda compressed natural gas fuel system, operationally engaged with the engine and mounted to the chassis, the compressed natural gas fuel system having a frame assembly having a first side and a second side, each at least partly defined by a support member having a base plate, anda connector plate engaged to the base plate,a connecting member having a first end engaged to the first side, anda second end having an offset from and facing opposite from the first end engaged to the second side,a first container and a second container, each configured to house compressed natural gas, and engaged to and substantially shrouded by the at least one of the first side or the second side of the frame assembly, anda first manifold and a second manifold, each engaged to and substantially shrouded by the frame assembly. 15. The vehicle of claim 14, wherein the first manifold comprises a fast-fill port being in fluid communication with said first container, andadapted to receive compressed natural gas at a first rate;a fill port being in fluid communication with said first container, andadapted to receive compressed natural gas at a second rate, wherein the second rate is less than the first rate;a fuel transfer port being in fluid communication with said first container, andadapted to transfer compressed natural gas; anda transfer valve configured to regulate the fluid communication of the fuel transfer port. 16. The vehicle of claim 14, wherein said second manifold comprises a fast-fill port being in fluid communication with said second container, andadapted to receive compressed natural gas;a fill port being in fluid communication with said first container, andadapted to receive compressed natural gas at a second rate, wherein the second rate is less than the first rate. 17. The vehicle of claim 14, wherein the compressed natural gas fuel system is adapted to be communicatively coupled to the vehicle by an electric connection; anda fuel line connection. 18. The vehicle of claim 17, wherein the vehicle is selected from the group consisting of a semi, a semi truck, a semi-trailer truck, a tractor-trailer, a transfer truck, an 18-wheeler, a truck, a class 8 vehicle, an automobile, farm equipment, industrial equipment, construction equipment, van, Sport Utility Vehicle, and a truck that carriers at least one of a load or a freight. 19. The vehicle of claim 18, further comprising: wherein said first container, is connected to the frame assembly at the first end of the first container with a neck mount that permits motion along an axis defined by the length of the first container; andis connected to the frame assembly at the second end of the first container with a neck mount that is substantially fixed along the axis defined by the length of the first container; andwherein said second container, is connected to the frame assembly at the first end of the second container with a neck mount that permits motion along an axis defined by the length of the second container; andis connected to the frame assembly at the second end of the second container with a neck mount that is substantially fixed along the axis defined by the length of the second container. 20. A frame assembly for a compressed natural gas fuel system intended to fuel a vehicle engine, comprising: a first side and a second side, each side configured to partly define an interior space;a connecting member engaged between the first side and the second side;at least one container supported by and partly located within the interior space of at least one of the first side or the second side, wherein the at least one container is configured to house compressed natural gas; andthe frame assembly configured to be engaged to a chassis of a vehicle at a location on the chassis that is located rearward of a cab of the vehicle or below the cab of the vehicle. 21. The frame assembly of claim 20, further comprising: an additional connecting member engaged between the first side and the second side a distance from the connecting member;the connecting member and the additional connecting member configured to partly define a second interior space; andthe at least one container supported by and partly located within the second interior space of the connecting member. 22. The frame assembly of claim 21, further comprising: the connecting member includes a neck mount that couples to an end of the at least one container; andthe additional connecting member includes an additional neck mount that couples to a second end opposite the first end of the at least one container 23. The frame assembly of claim 20, at least one of the first side, the second side, or the connecting member further comprising a depression that is configured to shroud a manifold that is in fluid communication with at least one of an engine of the vehicle or the at least one container. 24. The frame assembly of claim 23, the manifold further includes the following: a fast-fill port in fluid communication with the at least one container, wherein the fast-fill port is adapted to receive compressed natural gas at a first rate; anda fill port in fluid communication with the at least one container, wherein the fill port is adapted to receive compressed natural gas at a second rate in which the second rate is less than the first rate. 25. The frame assembly of claim 24, the manifold further includes at least one of: a fuel transfer port in fluid communication with the at least one container, wherein the fuel transfer port is adapted to transfer compressed natural gas between the at least one container and an additional container; anda coalescing filter that receives compressed natural gas from the at least one container prior to being received at the engine. 26. The frame assembly of claim 23, at least one of the first side, the second side, or the connecting member further comprising an additional depression that is configured to shroud an additional manifold that is in fluid communication with at least one of the engine of the vehicle or the at least one container. 27. The frame assembly of claim 20, further comprising at least one conduit for the flow of compressed natural gas between at least two of: a manifold, the at least one container, or an engine of the vehicle. 28. The frame assembly of claim 20, at least one of the first side or the second side includes a neck mount that couples to an end of the at least one container. 29. The frame assembly of claim 28, at least one of the first side or the second side includes an additional neck mount that couples to a second end opposite the first end of the at least one container. 30. The frame assembly of claim 20, further comprising a shock mount that is engaged in between the chassis of the vehicle and at least one of the first side, the second side, or the connecting member.
